We stayed at the Polynesian for our wedding & honeymoon! I always wanted to stay there and I finally did! My parents had their honeymoon in WDW and stayed at the Contemporary and for their 1-year anniversary stayed at the Polynesian. I am carrying on the tradition! :)

Congrats, and great pics! You're such a cute couple :) That's where I think we'll be staying too!! Did you stay in a regular room, or a suite?

We stayed in a regular room because the suites were over-priced in my opinion. We tried to save money where we could because I wanted extra money to actually be able to enjoy our honeymoon! We stayed in a room with a garden view and it was perfect and great location! Here are some pics of the room to give you an idea...

WOW what beautiful pics!

Firstly a big Congratulations :cheer2:

The Polynesian is the place i want to stay in for our wedding. It just looks so perfect, what can be better than curling up in a hammock with your DH. :cloud9:
Have you posted your wedding pics yet?

The standard rooms look perfect, i ve got my heart set on staying in one of the rooms with a view of the castle & lagoon. I ve been waiting a long time for my bid day so we thought what the hell lets go full out (whilst choking on the price).

Feline Figaro sends you lots of :shamrock: , you look like a perfect couple

That's what we're thinking too. My family has stayed at the Poly before and we know we like the rooms. How much time are you in your room anyway at WDW? Especially when you're there for your wedding :)

For anyone who has their heart set on a castle view, I can highly recommend the Hawaii building (concierge) which is, I believe, the only bldg with a castle view. We splurged and stayed there on a family vacation last year. It is amazing to sit on your balcony at night and watch the castle changing colors and the fireworks! I'd recommend requesting a third floor, castle view room as we were told that the third floor had the best view. The second floor does not have balconies which is good to know is that might be important to you.

We're staying at the Polynesian next April for our vow renewal but in a garden view room. (Vow renewal itself is the splurge for us this trip!)

Does anyone have a favorite Polynesian building?

Regards,

Jen L.

Great pics! And I love the dress you are wearing!

Jen : thanks so much for the advice with where to request staying in the hotel. :thumbsup2 i ve really got my heart set on having a clear view of the castle. Im a big kid at heart so to be able to get up every morning & to see the castle would put the biggest smile on my face!!

I know its dead pricey & i agree that you probably dont end up spending too much time in your room but this is one thing i ve got my heart set on. That & getting a massive hug from Eeyore, :eeyore:

Love your pics, thanks for sharing them! Do you have any from your wedding day? I am not a bride to be, married already 6 years, but I love to see wedding pics....you guys make a great looking couple. I really like you matched your cocktail dress with his shirt! CONGRATS to you both, have a long and happy life together.

Also, I LOVE your cute tank top with the 'future mrs...' on it. Is that something you had made or is it a celebrity one? If you had it made, do you mind my asking where you did it? It's adorable :)

Thanks! I actually had the tank made from a site I found online just a few weeks after we got engaged. It said "Future Mrs. Gravel" on the front and "Bride to Be" on the back! :) I don't remember what site it was because this was months ago, but do some searching on Google and I'm sure you'll find it or a place like it!

Oh, and Poly is the best as well because they are the biggest rooms and we needed it with all the wedding stuff...dress, for hair & make-up, etc. We need a lot of room and my hair stylist was so happy that I stayed there because she had a lot more room to work! :)

Yes, my pics are up and on here! Well, just a few taken by my guests. :) I don't have the "official" ones up yet. But, the others are here under the title- "My Wedding Photos- Sea Breeze Point- June 9, 2006!" I'll be adding the link to my Disney wedding site soon!

Lindsey, thanks again for sharing your honeymoon pics. I'll be disneymooning at the Poly too, great minds think alike :) Looks like you two had a great time!
