Hope your having a magical day!
We are just home from our trip and feeling miserable. What better way to get over it than to post a trip report (all the while planning our 2008 trip!).
The cast.
Sher (my GF, live in, deeply in love.)
Sher is 27, going to University of Waterloo to become a teacher. Has only been to disney once, and that was last year in a trip that was a bit stressful due to our traveling companions. We decided to try it again with just the two of us.
Rob (me.)
I have been going to disney since 1979. Have been a total of 10 times. Love the place and have no desire to slow down my yearly visits.
Marley (our pug)
She got to go live with close friends and had all kinds of adventures of her own. She kept a journal and would send us snippets via email to keep us in the loop!
Day 1
Buffalo, NY
We awoke at 4:00 am to a cool grey day in Buffalo. Our hotel (Radisson Williamsville) was about 10 minutes from the Buffalo Airport and due to the early hour of our departure we decided to stay overnight. We scarfed down some continental breakfast and jumped a shuttle to the airport.
We had 7:20 AM departure time with Southwest so we figured we should get there for 5:20. Good thing we did as the security was packed at this early hour. What is it about the checkpoints that make me so nervous? I got up to bat and forgot to take my belt off, couldn't get my laptop out of my bag, and forgot to take my hoodie off. The TSA guys were actually quite accomodating and helped me out. Once we got through we settled in for and hour and a half wait.
Our boarding was uneventful and we ended up sitting near some folks who were heading on a cruise. They pounded back the beers the whole way down! 7:30 AM is beer oclock I guess.
We landed around 10 and got our first glimpse of palm trees! Finding the Magical Express was easy and before we knew it we were aboard and heading to our resort!
And our resort is????
Stay TUNED!

I enjoy Canada, especially when crossing the border to see the Tragically Hip

GO AND SEE THE HIP!!! Please, if you have a bad time you can email me and I will reimburse you for your ticket price. My dad started taking me at 16 and in the last 9 years I've seen them 15 to 20 times. My favorite places to catch a show are Copps Colliseum in Hamilton and the Molson Ampitheatre at Ontario Place.
