We made reservations for 9 of us to eat at the 2:30 picnic lunch at Sea World. We show up at 2:10 pm. We asked a few of the employees (3) where we need to go. They send us and at least 4 other families to Dine w/Shamu. Where we waited till 2:25 for a 2:30 show. They took our pictures and everything. We asked again.. when are they opening gates etc..
Turns out we were sent to the wrong area. We were suppose to be in the stands... in the full sun... no shade... in a reserved area.
We asked another employee "where is the picnic w/Shamu at?" They again tell us they do not know. We finally see the sign and walk to the area. Which is full of people already and most are not part of "Picnic w/Shamu." We finally sit down and no one checks our name off or brings us our meal. We had to go look for employees to help. Then one kid meal arrives in a broken bucket. The other kid meal arrives in No bucket. It was a disaster!
We go complain... we didn't get our $$ back but they instead gave us big shamu drinks and replacement buckets.
It was frustrating. They changed the procedures and no longer require check-in for this picnic lunch like they used to and yesterday it proved a disaster for at least 8 families.
The good news of the day was that it was Friday before Labor Day and it was empty empty empty. No lines anywhere.
