I was putzing around the allears site tonight, and stumbled upon this page about Picnic in the Park at Animal Kingdom. Has anyone here ever done this? I'm assuming it's still offered, even though I can't find any info about it on the official WDW site. We've got a breakfast reservation at Tusker House, and this sounds like it would be a great option for a late lunch/early dinner on our AK day.

As of 1/2/10, they stopped it with the intention to make it a seasonal thing. You were able to make reservations at Guest Services in AK, and you had tier pricing. It was also a QS Dining Plan option. More than likely if they do bring it back, the prices will not remain the same. But here is a link that shows what the prices were in 2009.

Thanks for the info. That's a bummer that it's been discontinued, it would have fit well into our plans and DD would have enjoyed it. Seasonal would be good, but I doubt if they decide to bring it back that November would be considered in season.

To be honest, i'd never heard of it before February. I agree that it's too bad they don't still have it. But there are other ways you can copy it. Beastly Bazaar has grab and go lunches, you could grab those and pick a place in the park to sit. It's probably a bit more cost effective too. Or if you wanted to dine in lets say...Epcot, you could stop by the Dolphin and go to Picabu buffeteria. They have quick meals like sandwiches, salads..etc. You could grab those and find a cozy place in Epcot.
