Picnic in the Park??? Animal Kingdom

Saw a post of someone that did the "picnic in the Park" at the Animal Kingdom Park. Does anyone know if this is still offered and if so where I can find information on it??? Thanks!!!

I know they started it last year. Not sure if it's still available or not.

They had two different tiers-sandwiches and the other was chicken or ham. Sides, bottled water and dessert.

The order had to be placed by a certain time in the morning and then picked up later for lunch.

I didn't pay too much attention as the min. # of credits was 2 adult credits and I was the only adult, my niece was on the child's plan.

They are offering it as "seasonal" which is to say it's not being offered currently. We did it last year when it was first introduced and it was very good. They changed it and I believe the first tier was eliminated. It is true that it required a minimum of 2 CS credits, but Disney does not distinguish between adult and child CS credits, only TS credits. So PP could have done PITP with niece if desired b/c they could have used 2 CS credits.

The pre-ordered picnic has not been offered at all in 2010.

There is a grab and go area in the "Beastly Bazaar" store, where you can pick up the sandwiches offered last year, plus chips, drinks and desserts, and make your own picnic. However, from all reports you can no longer pre-order a picnic with chicken and hot or cold sides. There's no children's menu involved, so you get the same items with children's credits as you would with adult credits. you could have used your child's credits for this.

Thanks everyone!!! I was thinking it probably wasn't offered anymore. Looks like it was a great way to have lunch there.
