New 'picnic' Dining Option at AK!

I was just reading the inclusions and it seems like good value to me. Well for our family definitely. I'm assuming that you don't all have to have the same sandwiches - that you could choose a mix of them.

just to clarify, it's not a "dining plan" like the disney dining plan, it's a meal option.

It sounds cool. I wonder if it will count for points on the ddp. It seems like a great way to go for families, very inexpensive for Disney. Too bad my party is only 2 people, so this won't work for us.

what a great idea! I love it. Simple, no lines and flexible

the last paragraph does indicate it is a meal entitlement - 1 cs credit per person

(I edited the title on the first post so it doesn't end up on the DDP board...we do keep a tidy board, don't you know :laundy:)

Way down at the bottom it mentions you can use your counter service DDP for it. BUT, as an example, for 3 people, it requires 3 ADULT CS credits [even though in our case one of the 3 is a child:confused3]. Tier 2 would be worth it, Tier 1 - not so sure. :cutie:

That sounds really interesting. I may end up doing this on our trip in May.

good point rl - seems a tad silly that 3 is the smallest and says 'adult' entitlement credits:rolleyes1- we all know 3 adults is the common travel group at Disney

I do like the idea - I could see us getting this and having it for lunch. It is a great marketing idea - could see a family of 4 getting a 3 pack and sharing.

So where do you think the picnic places will be? Existing places like Flame tree area or a new zone? (I vote existing)

Sorry, :headache:I was just so excited to post! ;) Yes, it is a meal option not a dining plan. Thanks for changing the title! :thumbsup2

I like it and it sounds like a neat idea except for the fact the its just DH and I and there doesn't seem to be a two person option :sad2: Disney needs to remember that there are also a lot of couples that vacation at WDW :confused3

sounds cute!! Not worth it for us (DD is will be 2 next month) but could be a great "sharing" meal for many families!

they want you to go to TS ;)

I think it's a nice meal option!

I wonder what the reusable bag looks like?

Am I right in thinking that the whole family would have to pick the same thing (such as 4 chicken wraps, 4 mac & cheeses, 4 apples) or do you think that you'd be able to individually order your meal per person?

I'm looking forward to hearing from those who will try this meal soon.

it looks like the gourmet side is 16 oz - i can see family issues there! lol

This sounds like a cool alternative for eating at Animal Kingdom. Especially since the park is lacking in options. Will have to try it out sometime!

Exactly what I was thinking:sad2:

This sounds fun! I would definately think about doing this. Thanks for sharing!

This looks really cool! I'm wondering though how it works with the DDP. It says that it requires an Adult entitlement for each meal. If we only have two adults and three kids on the DDP, will they allow us to use 5 adult entitlements at one time?
