Picnic Area

I am thinking about taking a cooler into the picnic area for lunch. I can see the area on my map, but I'm not sure how to get to it from the security check area that is closest to Harbor Ave. They won't let us take our large cooler through the bag-check area, will they?

Large coolers are out, at least at the time we were there. I have seen at least half a dozen folks have to change their plans when they were going thru the security areas.

We would take a cooler that would fit in the lockers in the picnic area. I'm just not sure what the procedure is to get it from bag-check to the picnic area. I think if you enter on the DTD side the picnic area is before bag-check. But I'm not sure on the Harbor side.....

As long as it's a soft-sided (ie: not a plastic "Igloo"-type cooler, or a styrofoam cooler) cooler that will fit in a locker, there should be no problem. The picnic area is right near the lockers, so you won't have to carry it very far. Oh, and, you probably already know this, but you can't bring in glasss containers.
