My DS7 is a very picky eater. Does the kid's menu have PBJ?I am hoping that he will learn to eat when we're on the cruise but he is scared to try new things. He eats very few things.I'll probably bring some of his favorites but hopefully he'll try something new. Thanks only 2 weeks from today!!!!!!!!!

I know that pbj is on the room service menu...perhaps you could order from there and take it to the restaurant? My dd ordered pizza from the kids restaurant menu every night....she said it was delicious.

I asked my son if he remembered if pb&j was ever on a restaurant menu (his memory is WAY better than mine LOL) and he can't remember either. But pal2pluto is right -- you can get it from room service, and it's awesome! It's bread/peanut butter/bread/jelly/bread. Triple-decker. DS and I both ate it one night and it was great! :) Eaters don't come much pickier than me, and I didn't starve, so I bet your DS will be just fine. :)

Is it possible to get excited over a PBJ???? YES on the Disney Cruise Line.... Their PBJ's are triple stack ones with bread, then PB, another slice of bread, then J, and topped with a third slice. They were a delicious midnight room service snack for us!

You can view the room service and kids menu's (AND all other menu's too) on Dave's site at www.dcltribute.com
:)

He'll be thrilled to death!!!! I hope they have grape jelly though.I really hope he'll try other things !!!

The best part of the cruise/eating experience.......order something you or he thinks he might want to try......if he doesn't like it, you spent $0 and can get him that trusty PBJ!

Our kids were picky eaters until the year we took them to the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. As we wandered around World Showcase we bought something from each stand. The rule was that they each had to take one bite but no more than that. If they didn't like it they never had to eat it again. Well...there was only one thing they didn't like (a veggie-filled crust that was very soggy) and boy were they surprised. Since then they have been willing to try anything and now are very adventurous eaters.

The cruise is a great place for your DS to start trying new things as the food is included in the price. I would suggest ordering a few basic things from the appetizer or entree menu and let him try them...with the rule that if he doesn't like it he doesn't have to eat it. Talk to him well before you leave and tell him of the plan and ask for his input on what he'd like to try. Maybe you can set an initial goal of three new foods...or one new food a day. Include foods from the ports that you might not be able to get at home. Oh, and make sure he knows that his favorites are there for him as well. I have found that if you make it a fun, learning experience kids are more receptive.

Have a great time on your cruise!

My kids were crazy for the fresh fruit! They have it at Scoops around lunchtime until dinnertime, and then there is always fresh fruit on the menu. We had never had ripe fresh Mangos, but now we look for it at the grocery store.....My ds(2) went on a fruit binge, ate almost nothing but fruit all week. We thought there was something wrong at first, but then realized how much he was enjoying fresh ripe fruit, instead of fruit that has to ripen in a paper bag in PA!:D
