OK I have my DS 11 and DD 13. DS is a very picky eater. I am looking at places like CRT and he would eat what is on the kids menu, but the adult menu he is going to turn his nose up at. We will be on the DDP or OOP on some probably, is it possible to pay adult prices but get the food on the kids menu? He is just a chicken tenders kind of kid and I do not see getting him to eat something like lamb or salmon etc. Any ideas? :confused3

Generally, the TS restaurants are very accommodating of personal tastes. If nothing appeals to a diner on the menu, they are generally very nice about making up something special just for that one person. So if that something special is just a big portion of something they're already serving to the children, that shouldn't be any problem.

Picky almost 28 year old here! Disney TS are wonderful about making sure I have something to eat that I like :D

Good I am so glad to hear that! I was a bit worried now I can feel a little more comfortable about where we eat. :) I have one last ADR to pick for each park and this definatley opens up the options.

I think if you are willing to use the adult credit or pay the adult price, they are very accomodating. My dd (13) is also very picky sometimes. She had the adult portion appetizer, the child's entree, and a child's dessert at Le Cellier using her TS credit. It was no problem at all. I don't remember the entree being a larger portion, but she didn't need a larger portion with all of the other food.

At CRT she had the pasta dinner and later said that she wished that she had used the child's menu there as well.

I think that she ate off of the adult menu everywhere else, though.

DS 14 is picky but wants adult size servings. We found everywhere we ate so willing to work with him to be sure that he had something he liked. Two places did a simple pata dish that was not on the menu for him. He ate the kids desert one place with no problem and had his desert modified another place. We were on the DDP.

My husband doesn't eat salad or "fancy" appetizers (he wants wings, cheese sticks, etc) so he often will order the kids chicken noodle soup as an appetizer. Sometimes the server isn't so happy with that choice but polite firmness will work. I can imagine it would be easier with an older child rather than an adult. Heck, before they moved some of the cute kids desserts to the regular menu, I would order the kids dessert (mmm the smores thing at Le Cellier).
