Pickles...sweet or dill?

I used to prefer dill pickles until I sampled a girlfriend's homemade bread and butter pickles. They were out of this world! I ate the whole jar in one day! My stomach wasn't too happy about it, but I couldn't help myself!

Therefore, I voted for both.

I love dill. I'm not a great fan of sweet pickles but will eat them on occassion.

I had a friend growing up who drank pickle juice.

I know I'm in the minority here, but someone has to stick up for sweet pickles. The sweet baby gherkins are my favorites! Dills are OK only on a hamburger, but for eating out of a jar it's gotta be a sweet baby (or bread and butter will do).

I voted dill pickles. And I lllloooooovvvveeee pickle juice!! I don't drink too much of it though because I can almost feel my heart about to seize up whenever I drink it (got to love the sodium!)

CLAUSEN PICKLES are in the refridgerator section of the supermarket where you see bologna and hot dogs!!! SOOOO goooood!

They are the only ones I buy too, unless I can get a good sour one from the deli. The regular jarred ones on the shelf are just too soggy. I voted both because I also need my Bread and Butter pickle fix (Mrs. Fannings only, please), and I guess you would have to call them sweet. I don't like the little sweet gerkins though. And if the Tag Fairy happens to read this post, two food related tags are quite sufficient, thank you .

I only eat dill. I love dill relish on my burgers too.

The best pickles though are the deli style. When I was pregnant with DS I worked at a burger joint that had deli pickles. Every day for lunch I would get a sandwich and extra deli pickles. Finally one day the cooks dragged over the whole pickel barrel for me (it was about 3 feet tall). It was funny, but deep inside I wished I could really take it home.

No supermarket pickles for me!

I live in NYC - sour garlic straight from the barrels on the Lower East Side.

When i can't get there - I will get the jarred Ba-Temple pickles. Really good and sour!

Every one and a while - Mrs. Fanning's Bread and Butter on some tuna sandwiches.

I drink pickle juice! I'm a weirdo. My kids do it too. DH thinks we're all nuts. I love getting the veggie sandwich at Subway with extraextraextra pickles and a ton of mustard. I actually grossed out my "sandwich artist" once. Go me.
