You'd have to be careful sharing used pickled wieners though. What happens if you have undiagnosed tuberculosis and your random act of kindness goes horribly wrong.

I laughed at this because I am one to actually drink a jar of pickle brine after all the pickles are gone. Taking small sips is the key. Mmm, tasty!

I used to drink the brine after I ate them, but once I inhaled and it closed off my airway. I couldn't breathe at all for a solid 20 seconds and it was a solid hour before I could breathe completely normally without coughing. I will never ever do that again.

I'm sure you can imagine how that went when I told my husband that I nearly killed myself eating a pickled wiener.

If you intend to share your pickled weiners with other, be careful with your weiner juice. Some people enjoy swallowing it, while others will just spit it out.

I'm not sure how to keep a pickled wiener cold, but I hear putting one in a box really heats it up and may make it too hard to chew, I would avoid that.

You don't generally need to keep pickled items cold. Having said that, I have no experience with a pickled wienero_O.

I always eat them on the way to the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota :-)

You've lost me LarryZ.
But I hope you figure out how to bring them. And post back afterward.

With all the interest in this thread, there are rumours of a pickled weiner-fest as part of next years F&W festival

Well, in case anyone's wondering, I'm down sick with a cold, and I've been taking Nyquil QID...

So, to quote Weird Al, "...it just seemed like a good idea at the time..."

I think most people really dislike chewing on them especially in that state. In most cases it would be recommended to treat them like a fresh Popsicle.

In this case size does matter. Those miniature pickled wieners are a heck of a lot easier to deal with and carry around. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what just what to do and where to put those jumbo pickled wieners.
