Hi there,

we purchased e-tickets for our family when we saw a good deal ($90 + tax when the £ was strong) as we're intending to visit Universal when Harry Potter opens.

We're visiting Orlando in August but don't intend to visit the Universal parks. I want to pick up our tickets while we're there, can we just drive up to the park and pick up our e-tickets or will we have to pay parking fees. Is there an easy way to do this ?

Many thanks,

Liam

use the outside of the park guest service window.

you would have to pay for the parking at the garage.

don't know if anyone in your party could be dropped off and get all the tickets for you. not sure how strict they are if maybe your spouse could do all the transactions with id's to secure those passes for all.

they do not have to be used the day you receive them.
once you do use them, they expire 6 days later.

if they could, then they could call you by cell and let you know when to return to pick them up.
that would be the only way you wouldn't have to pay for parking if you just did a drop off and later return for them.

wait, when you said E tickets, i assumed you were talking about the super bowl free passes.
those SB passes expire at the end of this year.

i'm so blonde at times i kill myself....

if you ordered passes/tickets on line, and directed pick up at the park, you would be using the kiosk for pick up.
they are outside the entrance to the park.
no charge to do so.

just the parking issue to decide on then.

Thanks for your reply.

My wife would be able to drop my off and then pick me up. I've never been to universal so don't know the layout, can we just drive through, drop me off to pick up the tickets and then pick me up ?

Thanks,

Liam

You can use thr drop off area by valet and you will have a bit of a walk. If you know the area I would go over by HRH and walk from there since US is so close to HRH. But I don't know if they will let you park by valet for a few or she could drop you off and come back a few minutes later to pick you up.:thumbsup2

i would use the drop off section.
it is marked pretty decent.

then, have your wife drive down the street and wait in one of the mall parking lot until you call. i have no idea how long it will take to get the etickets.
if there is a line, she might have a bit of a wait.
no line, piece of cake.

parking at the hotels for a day guest is $20.
you want to avoid that.

bluer gave a good suggestion but don't know if you would be nailed for a parking fee.

maybe others that have done what you are going to do, will post and give their thoughts.

I don't know how they have done it but I have heard of people being allowed to park in the guest drop off area for less than thirty minutes.

I dont know the name of this road, but looks like you can drop someone off and return to pick back up.This is a major road that does not charge you to enter. Its were all the cabs and schuttle busses park and its real close to CW..Metro probally knows the name of the road..
Hope this helps!:thumbsup2
