Picking up/ dropping off rental car at Car Care Center?

Please advise.

We will be staying at Pop and this will be on Thurs, Feb. 16. We will pick up a car at the car care center to go to Seaworld for the day. We also want to go to Boatwright's and the River Roost Lounge at POR in the evening, and may want to rest/swim at Pop in the late afternoon. The next day we will return the car before going to Magic Kingdom.

Here are the questions:

1 - Should I go alone to pick up the car and come back and get the family at Pop or should we all go together? Family is DH, kids 13, 10, 7, who would love a little extra sleep in the morning. I don't mind getting up early. What is the "shuttle" like that you can arrange to take you to the car care center?

2 - The next morning should I go alone to Car care center and then on to MK and have the family meet me there (they'll take the bus) or should we go together? How do I/we get from the car care center to MK? If they shuttle me/us, is it to MK or to the TTC?

(Thought about a taxi, but it would be 3 or 4 rides, which would add up:
Pop to SW, SW to Pop or POR, maybe Pop to POR, POR to Pop. )

I would go alone to pickup the rental car as the CCC can be a little hectic and you don't wanna clog up the free shuttle if it is busy. Then head back to Pop, scoop up the family and head to seaworld (I love that place).


To return the car I'm not sure the shuttle would take you to the MK. I thought it only went back to resort hotels. I would defintely meet the family at the MK so that you all won't miss time at the park if you have to shuttle several places to get to the MK. I would call the CCC in advance to see if the shuttle will take you to MK.

If it won't have them take you to the Contemporary, Poly, or the Grand Floridian and take the monorail to MK.

You could always have them return you to the Contemporary and then you walk over to the MK. Very short walk.

There is also AVIS (I think) at Hilton (DTD)

We are renting thru Alamo--picking up car at CCC and returning to Dolphin (we will be going to MGM that day and thought it would be easy to drop the car there and walk to MGM! )
