picking up DDE card at Epcot?

I just order my AP today on the phone with disney. However after the charge went through and couldn't be changed the CM told me I would get the AP in 15-21 business days because she only charged me for $3 shipping.

Well I wanted a DDE card and I know I need the number on my voucher to get one. So there is no way my DDE card will be here by 12/2 if I don't get my AP voucher until the second week of November. I can just have it held for me at Guest Relations at Epcot? Is there anywhere else to pick it up? We are not going to Epcot until our 3rd day and need the DDE for our 1st night's dinner.

If I have to stop by Epcot to pick it up, how much of pain is this to do? I will have a SUV full of family with me Any other suggestions? Will they fax or email somehing to me until I can get to Epcot?

Nope, no more faxes or emails, you can only pick it up at Epcot. Its not a hassle as long as there isn't a huge line. You pick it up at guest relations before you enter the park.

Unless you are staying at an Epcot resort and enter through the International gate, in which case it is a pain in the neck. Can you access guest relations without leaving the park? Or do you have to leave the park, get your card, and go back through security again?

you would have to leave the Epcot park and go thru security again. I picked mine up the first day we were there in Sept. We weren't doing any parks that day as it was a short day.

I picked up my DDE and activated my AP at the same time. Very easy. I got my permanent card a couple of weeks after getting back from Disney. Can't wait to use it again. Hopefully first part of Dec.

It is definately better not to go by first thing in the morning. That is when most of the groups are trying to get their issues worked out. If you can try to go mid-late morning or early afternoon since the lines are generally shorter.

I ordered my AP last Friday Oct.7th night and it came yesterday(Thur 13th).
I only paid $3 shipping. I guess it all depends on where you live. I live in MA. So I think you should have it in a week. Good luck. I also got a great room rate at the Beach Club in Feb. with my AP

Agree with amc. I ordered my APs last Friday and got them yesterday (Thurs)--less than a week!

If you don't want to wait to order the DDE until you get your voucher (I got mine in about 5 days), you can call Ticket Services and the CM there will be able to give you the voucher number. (You have to wait about 2 hours from the time you order before the voucher number is in the system, but since you ordered yours last night, that shouldn't be a problem).

The number for Ticket Services is 407-566-4985. Hours are M-F 8:30 - 4:45 and S 8-4:15. Closed Sunday. Be prepared to sit on hold for a while,. Sometimes they are very busy.

Did you guys order your AP online? I just found out that I'll be going to CSR next July in addition to my Birthday Trip this Dec, so decided to get my first FL resident annual pass. Also may as well get the DDE since we will probably eat at a lot of the allowable restaurants.

Just when I thought I had my Dec. trip all set and paid for, no I have to consider the savings I can get by getting an AP instead of 3-day pass and add the DDE to Dec. trip as well.

I'm getting dizzy with all these plans!!!

Used to be that only FL residents could get a DDE card, but this year it was opened up to AP holders.

Thanks! I got my AP number and called and ordered my DDE card. They said I should get it 3 weeks! You saved me from going to Epcot early!
