I thought I had read this on the Dis but when I did a search all I found was you could book seats when you checked in at 24 hours. When I booked my flight today in the confirmation email it said "You may now select your seat at the time of reservation, or at any time up to 6 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Click here to use advanced seating now." The link took you to the home page where you had to sign in with your confirmation #. I'm so glad I read that email carefully cause when I signed in they had assigned us the 1st available seats in front but we were all sitting seperately (2adults, 1 child, 1 jr). It was very easy to pick our seats and now we're all together. Just an FYI for anyone who didn't know about this.
Also in my email it created a prefered customer account and gave me a user name and password. Any idea what this is for? The sign-in online only asks for confirmation # and name so I can't find a place to use this.
