Pick a Pearl

Can anyone tell me how much the pick a pearl in DTD costs. I know that the settings vary in price, I'm just talking about the actual pearl. Thanks for the help.

I want to say it's up to $14.95 now, we briefly glanced as we walked thru DTD but we didn't stop, we've already done it quite a few times. We each have 2 pearl necklces from pick a pearl actually. So we've done it like 6 times.....it was either $14.95 or $19.95.

The last time I did it in DLR it cost $15.95. However I did it in Orlando last November and it was either $16.95 or $17.95. I don't know if all places are priced the same but I would think if you budgeted $20 per pearl you will be about right.

We did it in WDW this past Feb. and it was just under 20. I figured I wouldn't get a setting but I changed my mind after so keep that thought there too.

Your pearl size will also dictate which settings you are eligible to get. When I was there, boxes, depending on the style, were around .25-1.00 as well. I didn't even think about how I was going to transport it after I bought it.

I did mine in the Japan pavillion too! It was soo cool because they had you count down in Japanese and had a little cheer go up when they measure it for size (everyone seemed to get a 'larger than average' pearl so everyone got a cheer ).

How much do some of the settings cost? I'd like to put a pearl in one of those "cages", on a necklace, around my neck.

I'd honestly have to go back to my receipt but my pearl was 'slightly larger than average' (aka average ) and so I couldn't pick too many options.

I got a cage one that seemed pretty basic compared to a lot of the offerings and I believe the cost was about 30$-ish. It may have been 25, but I know it cost more than the pearl. And that was just for the cage (ie. it's still sitting in my 1$ box at home not on a chain). The chain was more money on top of that and while they had some nice options, once my pearl was costing upwards of 50, I thought that I could probably afford a chain from home or use one from an old necklace.

It may be different in DTD, but be prepared for the extra expenses is my one word of warning.
