Disney has done such a great job with their resort theming. What type of a resort would you like to see constructed? What location? What theme? What ammenities should it have?

I would like to see a value or moderate resort that could sleep 6 in the Magic Kingdom area. But I'm cheap so I don't want to pay suite prices or have one of my children squished into a trundle bed.
I'd like a arctic/snow theme, sort of like Blizzard Beach. It would be cool to have a glacier pool with polar bear and penguin decor.
I'm fine with few ammenities but a sit down restaurant would be nice and maybe a lake with boat rentals.

:goodvibes How about a Countries of the World theme...portraying the countries in World Showcase.....It wouldbe a moderate resort, obviously very large, and you would be able to put bldg requests , such as China or Morocco, etc....and all the country areas would have its own themed pool.....What a great food court it would have!!!!!

Very cool idea, I love it!!! You're right, the food court would be awesome!!

Not sure about theming, but accomodations for 6 at a pro-rated price is long over due.

JMHO, but I think an Asian theme would be a cool idea for a deluxe or even moderate resort. Asian decor, paper lanterns, bamboo, dark wood. I guess I've just seen Mulan one too many times...

Oh, and having rooms available that sleep larger families without a big jump in the price would be manditory!!

I believe when Disney was first being built, there were going to be other resorts and I think one was an Asian theme. There was also a Venetian resort. I think this is going waaay back, when the CR and Poly were first built. I think the Venetian would be cool--with a canal and all. That would definitely be a deluxe. I'm all for more values with somewhat different theming instead of just the big icons.

Castle theme. I think Disney could do much better with it than the Excalibur in Las Vegas. On the other hand, I don't think they can do much than the Venetian in Las Vegas.

My kiddie are enamored with the the rides at WDW..it would be fun to have a resort based on the rides...incorporate, TOT, Aerosmith, Small World, Peter Pan..and maybe the pool can have a Splash Mountain theme..how cute..;)

I agree that a moderate with world showcase theme would be great and please, please please, give us families of 5 (and 6) an alternative to a trundle! There is no way my average size 9 year old would be comfy in that!

I think they need to do a Pirates of the Caribbean themed, or Villan resort, Value or Moderate that sleeps larger families/more suites with lower prices. Imagine the possibitities for them!!!!!

Suzanne princess:

What about the American Southwest? Oh, right - Coronado Springs. OK then, as previously suggested - an International Resort - complete with sitdown restaurants - with Australia, Indonesia, etc. sections? Countries not represented in the WS.

The original WDW plans called for a Persian Resort located just north of the Contemporary I think. I've got a map of it someplace. Think Aladdin! Could be pretty cool place.

Asian is not really covered. That would be a great next resort complex.

I would have LOVED to see the Asian/Persian resorts built. But they seem closely related in themes.

Besides, imagine what would have not been built if they hadn't.

I would like to see a Food themed resort...

Think of all the possibilities that a theme like that would cover...

Different types of foods, cooking... I could see it happening... :)

How about American Cities?

I like this one! One section could be NYC, they could stage muggings under the lights of Broadway!
How about piping in the sounds of gun shots in the Detroit section or having big fans blowing everything around in the windy city of Chicago!

Just kidding!!!:rotfl2:
