Hopefully Caskbill can give us a GPS report on the actual distances when he checks in here soon!

The nighttime view of DD from SSR is spectacular. The lights across the lake really look great and enhance the view from our balcony.

The PI New Years Eve Celebration just ended and we couldn't hear anything from inside the room. From the balcony, the fireworks were fun (and they only last about 2 minutes anyway).

They have done a great job positioning the building and soundproofing the villas. There is special glass in the balcony doors. Studios have no windows (just the balcony) and the BR windows in 1BR and 2BR villas all have the soundproof glass ... and it seems to work well.

Enjoy!

I had a different experience with the fireworks. They woke me up two out of the first three nights we were there. The second night I was still awake and could hear them pretty well.

For whatever reason (probably exhaustion), I didn't wake up the last two nights when they went off.

I didn't hear any other DTD noise so the soundproofing was there, but from our first floor 1-bedroom there was fireworks noise.

Thank you for the lovely pictures!! The next best thing to being there, I can hardly wait :Pinkbounc

Currently, the walk to DD is closest from this first building and I'll guess it's over 3/4 mile once you walk from your room to the parking area, across the bridge, down to the LBV Clubhouse, past the dock, across the golf cart bridge, around the DD West Side parking lot until you reach Cirque.

Oh yeah! We were in Congress Park and it was quite a hike to the walking path. We did it exactly ONCE. The other times we drove our car to the boat launch/walking path. Made the walk less difficult in the mid 90º heatwave!

How many minutes would you say it took approximately to get from Congress Park to boat dock and/or path?

From Congress Park to dock was about 10-15 minutes. Then from boat dock to West Side another 10 minutes to walk on the path.
