PI and Adventurers Club for 16 yo?

Just wondering if any of these places are suitable for our 16 yo ds. DH and I have never been there ourselves but I was considering this as a little more adult thing for ds and he is known for being the class clown at school, so that is why I was thinking of the comedy club. Just curious as to the hours, what is there to eat/drink. Ds looks very mature, over 6 foot etc. I just dont want to look like a bad parent or have him be out of place. I also dont want to give him the wrong impression about drinking etc. So if its too rowdy there, please tell me now. What day of the week would be a least crowded time?

I have seen kids as young as 8 or so at PI, and the AC. I would say the earlier you are there the better, in terms of the drinking. I would consider the Adventurer's Club to be no worse than anything he can see on TV. It's very subtle, tounge in cheek type of comedy/inuendo in terms of anything for a "mature audience" if you get my drift.

You would have to be with him as the age requirement at PI is 18 and older, unless accompanied by an adult. Comedy Warehouse is much like "Whose Line is it Anyway" with Drew Carrey, it can be kinda rowdy but definetly something that he would enjoy (just remember that there might be some language as it is geared to adults...but in my expereince is not usually that bad). THe Adventures Club is a favorite of most CM's as it is just a fun place to go. The show in there is very off the wall but so much fun.

The Comedy Warehouse shows are
Sunday-Wed 8:20, 9:15, 10:30 and midnight
Thursday-Saturday 8:20, 9:15, 10:30, midnight and 1am
There is usually a line for that so you would want to get there early to get in.

Adventurer's Club showtimes are 8:15, 8:55, 9:45, 10:25, 11:05, 12:10 and 12:40am this is more of an open seating and not usually to crowded.

If you do go he would not be able to go into Mannequins (anytime) and the BET Soundstage (Fri or Sat...any other day of the week is ok) as these two are 21 and older and check ID at the door.

As for food there really is not "food" in PI but you can get soda and non-alcoholic drinks at any of the clubs.

On your question for what day of the week Monday and Thursday are Cast Member nights so they tend to be very busy and a little more rowdy and risque, any other night is hit or miss depending on the time of year... Just remember you would need to be with him for him to go...I have seen little kids there so I would not worry about a 6 foot tall young man looking out of place

My younger daughter enjoyed it at 16. We only went to Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers Club. She is 21 now and enjoys going with her and her sister's friends in the Orlando area. They are up there about once a month.

wow thanks for the info, how early would we have to line up at the comedy wharehouse? Can you stay for more than 1 show or are people waiting to get in etc? He loves that show, whose line is it anyway. His teachers always make remarks at school about his theatrics. I have encouraged him to take a drama elective at school but he is not interested. Maybe this will spur him on. I dont want to stay too long because we are sending the other 2 ds to disney quest. Also if we decide to take the other ds who are teens too do they have tables for 5?

For the earlier shows at Comedy Warehouse you would probably only need to be there about 10 minutes early (later in the night it gets more crowded). They only have a few "Tables" in the Warehouse...it is set up more like bar seating with rows of bar stolls and a bar. They will seat you according to your party size so don't worry about that part They do exit the entire building at the end of the show so you would have to go around and get in line again if you wanted to see the next show. We have never been turned away from a show as they can seat a lot of people (and it seems that the last 2 shows of the night are the busy ones.)
