Physical Tickets

I know they don't, in general, give physical tickets anymore. I am traveling with someone who does not have a smartphone. I will have their ticket on my account but if they want to leave & return later or join the group later, they won't have a way to get into the park. Will they give them a physical ticket, just in case?

I'm pretty sure you can still get paper tickets at the ticket booth in the esplanade. Maybe someone who has gotten one more recently can clarify.

We get them when my brother signs us in...so they should have the ability at least.

You could possibly get a cheap MB?

During my trip in early July, I saw several people with physical tickets. I even once saw three people get them at the front gates to DL. I have no idea if this is a regular occurrence or not, but it happened.

Another option without a smartphone is a Magicband+. If they can link their ticket to someone else's account, they can just use a MB. This is not the cheapest option though.

They are a rarity in nature, to be sure.

But I have seen them go for a relatively cheap price (~$15-20) on Disney store closeout.

Cheapest I see on disney store right now is $30, though.
