O.k. I've played out all the angles, so tell me if my lgic sounds right --
Our fam of 5 is going to WDW for 13 days. We will do the water parks at least twice. Half of us want to do DQ. We like to go to DTD, to laze around the pool One day, the kids are even going on the Pirate Cruise at GF. Meanwhile, my SIL and BIL are joining us for 9 of the 13 days. They have a child and infant. It will be August. Infant has had medical problems -- while they have doctor's ok now to travel, anything in this world (especially where kids are concerned) can change.
So... while the FITS passes looked VERY attractive, and it would be way cool for us to work in an included trip to Kennedy as well as come and go from the water parks and DQ as we wish on the trip, and while FITS were technically cheaper (when you add in the DQ and b'fast and Kennedy) it just seems like PHPs are the best bet. We won't be coming back to WDW for about 14-20 months (next trip is to Disney HHI). We will probably buy 7 day PHPs and use the leftover days for our next trip. And most importantly -- I think we are paying for that "insurance" that if, for any reason, anyone does NOT use a pass (due to an ill child, or change of plans, or August monsoon), we aren't "losing" that day down the drain.
Is this logic correct? Is there some other plan I should look at? I just can't justify a UPH -- we kinda like our time off, and those are so much more expensive.
THANKS!
(Also -- if anyone knows of a ticket broker offering "perks" with a purchase such as a 7 day PHP, let me know! Specifically interested in those that mesh with our plans -- like a character b'fast, or DQ. I am pretty sure that Paramount was / is offering the DQ ticket promo.)
