If your trip is only to DLR, don't pre-order the CD. Pre-ordering is 99. Ordering it with only
Disneyland pictures is now 79.
A share is when a group of people go in on a CD together. If you think of it in terms of a big family gathering, you can see that getting the one CD and making copies for the family members can make sense. And not everyone is going to be together every moment (unless you are a very close family or just want to torment everyone, LOL), so different family groups will go different ways, and sometimes different family members might go off alone. So each family, or even each person, can get their own cards from the photographers, and have pictures taken.
Then at the end of the vacation, all those card numbers are entered onto ONE photopass online account.
Then each person is given access to that account, and you are given 30 days from putting the card numbers onto the account to edit, put borders around, add signatures, all the pictures (each edit is saved as another copy, you never lose the original picture). Then once people are done (before the 30 days) the account "owner" orders the CD, it's sent, and the person can copy the CD.
So if you think of a group of Dis'ers as family, that's how a share works.
I personally think the CD and the photo release (allowing you to make prints wherever you want) is valuable enough to just pay for it without the share. BUT I didn't know that I felt that way until I was part of a share.
