You can have two cards.
So I am wondering if when we go to WDW I could just give my teenaged son the number on our photopass plus card, if I buy this, and he could apply it to a ride photo that he may have taken without me there? (rather than me having to return within 48 hours with the card to the ride) This would be much easier, I think...

Kind of seems the plus part is not really meant for sharing. What I mean by that it's a pain in the butt. If u have teenagers riding rides on their own and had little ones or hanging with other family members Disney makes things difficult. Who wants to waste Disney time criss crossing waiting in line to add a photo number to a photo plus card
Sounds like a time suck.
We were also told that we could just use one of the regular photo pass cards that the photographers give you and then link it to our PP+
I am confused about character meals. Are these included in the regular photopass? If so, would it be with all the characters? For example, we always go to Chef Mickey's. They take a photo of your family in the front of the restaurant with a fake Mickey and then try to sell you the package. If I hand that photographer my regular photopass card, can I add those pictures to my account? As far as the characters go, I don't recall seeing any photographers going around with the different characters in the actual dining room, so I assume that would not be included? What about with Photopass Plus? Would I just get the family picture in the front of the restaurant?
Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure that if you have the regular PhotoPass that you can get the character meal pictures added to your account, but you would have to purchase them first. (The exceptions would be Akershus and CRT where the pictures are included in the price of the meal.) To my knowledge, none of the character meals have PhotoPass photographers that go around to the tables to take pictures of guests with the characters, so you would have to get those with your own camera.
With the PhotoPass + though, you would get that picture that they take in front of the restaurant added to your PhotoPass account without having to purchase it, and I think you would also get the actual picture package, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
Also, hi, neighbor!![]()

We have been many, many times to WDW. I mention this as this is NOT like our family's big, once-in-a-lifetime trip. The nine of us were there in May and had a photography session with Disney Fine Arts photography. We will only have our two youngest kids with us, so any pics are not really "family pictures" as we won't have our other kids (4 older + spouse) with us. We do have Pirates League booked for our 3rd grader and also hope for him to do Jedi Academy. We don't do character meals. We would probably do a few character pics in the park if we happen to run across someone the boys think is cool like maybe Captain Hook, Buzz, etc. Oh, yeah...we are eating at BOG and I hear you can go to a room to have a pic taken with Beast. There would probably be a few ride shots we could take, though one of my boys opts out of the rides with drops.
Do you think Pirates League, BOG with Beast and Jedi Academy are reason enough to purchase Photopass +? Would you even purchase anything?
Thank you for your opinions!
Thank you!!I purchased the photo pass + for the character meals and ride photos, I believe you get BBB and pirates league on reg photo pass anyway, so plus is not needed for that. It is worth it for us cause we always purchase the pics at character meals and since its included, I would have put out the money anyway, now I get all my ride photos for free!

Right, what I was referring to was that there was no benefit to having the Photopass plus over a reg Photopass card for PL or BBB. Sorry for any confusion
