Brilliant photos, thanks for sharing them with us!

That pineapple dish looks great, is it a regular thing at Chef Mickey's?

Did you think the Disneyland Hotel was worth the expense? Would you stay there again?

Hey! You're very welcome!!

The Baloo's Tropical (forgot lol) dish is on the menu so is always available from Café Mickey's yes... and as for the Disneyland Hotel - after staying there, I don't think I could ever stay in a different hotel at Disneyland Paris... It was absolutely stunning, the treatment from staff and characters there was outstanding, the location - fantastic, and the rooms - couldn't wish for more!!

I wondered what you'd say about the hotels, I was about to ask the same thing, having noted that you've stayed at the NPB (my favourite hotel) several times. I'm guessing DLH and NPB there's no comparison ?

Hello You!!
You know what, I LOVE Newport Bay - always have....but seriously - Disneyland Hotel was definately in a league of its own!!
We had one problem when we arrived - which was VERY quickly rectified - basically me and my friend booked a room with two double beds... we got there and we were given one kingsize bed (well, she has a boyfriend, and I'm not that way inclined either lol - so slight problem)...we went straight back down to reception expecting chaos - the manager came to personally apologise for the misunderstanding and personally came with us to move our luggage and placed us into a new room - closer to the park - and couldn't do enough to help us.

I love the theming of Newport Bay....but again, DLH upped its game with this one as well. It was like living in a Disney Fairytale. I don't really know how to explain it - but there was just something really warm and magical about the place, the staff, and most definately the location. To have an amazing buffet breakfast each morning sitting by a window looking onto Main Street and the Castle was indescribable..

**still coming down from the high**

I don't know what I'm finding funnier, imagining the looks on your faces when you saw that bed or the faces of those poor CM's and the Manager when you explained your predicament.
I know if I had been your friend I'd have been on the floor laughing. :rotfl:
a lesson learned in "why one should never assume" :thumbsup2

I just had a feeling you were going to say that about the DLH, I absolutely adored the NPB, I wasn't overly keen on Sequoia, but we're going back, because I was sold on the whole Christmassy feel of SL that I've heard so much about, the NY doesn't appeal to me at all, sorry Bexx :confused3 , so in my quest to stay at all the Disney hotels I shall have to resign myself to saving my pennies very hard and booking THE hotel !!!

Glad you both had such a fabulous time, it shines through on your photographs. :goodvibes

Hi Adam
I can only sign what you have said about the DLH. Me and my BF have stayed there three times and I wish we could afford this most beautiful hotel during every visit.
You choose the right words “Disney Fairytale” “something really warm and magical about the place” “definitely the location” “absolutely stunning”.
And most importantly “each morning sitting by a window looking onto Main Street and the Castle was indescribable..”
I could not have said it better. :goodvibes

And when I saw this picture of yours

I had that wonderful warm and stunning DLH feeling again. You must have stayed there to know what I am talking about. ;) During every visit we look into the DLH and we walk through that floor and then I have that wonderful feeling again. :cloud9:

I can’t wait to read your trip report and further thoughts about the DLH. :woohoo:

LOL Jill.....the manager's face was quite a picture - he said "we assumed that as you are boy and girl..you are together" so we laughed and I said 'well, we are HERE together...but that's about as far as it goes...she has a boyfriend, and yeah..' Aaaah...I love Disney - it's all so innocent LOL. princess:
Also, just have to add here....I really wish there was a photo of our faces as we saw the bed LOL - it would have definately been one worth framing!!! LOL

As for the whole HNY - I have to second you, it really doesn't appeal to me there either. I know people that LOVE it there - but I personally just cannot find an attraction to it.. :confused3 And I'm sure you will love SL - we popped in there a couple of nights just to have a nose as I have never stepped foot in there before properly...it was quite a warm and welcoming hotel - and I quite liked their shop as well. Saying that - we wandered through the hotel at about 9pm one night and one of the Country Bears Characters (Wendell) came running around the corner and pounced on us lol. That was rather random and unexpected lol.

And Marcus - aww - it is really hard to explain the feeling of staying in that hotel isn't it. But a highlight was that corridor each day and night to see the Castle. It just made it feel Disney :cheer2:
