Photos onboard - multiple stateroom question

Hi!
So I see that if I preorder the digital copies of all photos, I can save 15%. I am considering this, but I am not clear on the rules about family members from other staterooms in our photos.

For example, we are 3 staterooms split this way:

rm 1 - me, DD, grandma
rm 2 - my husband, grandpa
rm 3 - my sister, her husband and 2 kids.

So if "room 1" orders this package, would we automatically get any photos of DD and her dad (who's in room 2)? Or DD and her cousins (in room 3)???

You'd get any and all pictures that contain any occupants of room 1.

Alternatively, you can attach the package to room 2, get all pictures of those folks, AND, because you have a minor child in a different room, all photos that contain that minor child as well.

Either way, you wouldn't get photos of just the adults in the room without a package. There is no way really to loop room 3 in other than being in the picture with them.

That is how it is written. Now, I don't know how easy or hard it is to get the people on board to get all those photos together or to move things from one folder to another. I'm guessing you might get some pushback. But maybe not.

As noted, whichever room purchases the full package, all photos taken with anyone who is in that room (regardless of whoever else is in the photo) will be included. Any photos taken that don't include at least one person from the room that purchased the CD will not be included.

For multiple rooms, Shutters has (in the past) allowed a second room in a group to purchase the full package for 50% off. If you want this option, the second room purchase is done onboard, not prior to cruise.

I guess maybe a silly question, but how does shutters know that a kid is your minor and not just a cousin or something? Do they check the manifest? I can see how this could easily be abused, so I assume there are checks in place.

In order to add a minor child (in a different room) to your photo package, you must go, in person, to Shutters onboard. I'm thinking that they will require you to show the child's KTTW card to be included.

Do you feel that the packages are worth pre-ordering to save money?
For me - no. But, if you think you'll be wanting to purchase a lot of the photos taken onboard, it's probably a good deal.

I'll just note, you can go ahead and purchase the full package, and revisit the decision toward the end of your cruise. You can always cancel the package and only purchase the photos you want, or none. You just have to cancel by the last full day of the cruise.

That is good to know! Personally, I don't purchase a lot of pictures, but my daughter has a hard time deciding on which picture. I just went over and visited that site on the DLC website, and honestly, I would rather have the photo book than all those loose photos. I might just do that for myself so I don't have to scrap book them later.

I thought I had read somewhere that if you had a nuclear family spread over 2 rooms, they would automatically be included on 1 disc.

So, that would mean if you booked it under Room 1 you could go to Shutters and get your husband added as well for no charge. That way any photos of him by himself would be included.

And then, as others have said, any photos with anyone from Room 1 or your husband in it would be included. So your DD and her grandpa, DD and cousins, you and your sister, etc.

This is assuming I'm remembering that correctly.

Just got home on Saturday. My husband and I were in one room, and our 2 18 y/o children were in another. We bought 1 package and had no problem getting both rooms attached to one package. I think I read somewhere that as long as the children were under 21, we still count as one family. Another family traveling with us had mom and 1 kid in one room, dad and 2 kids in another (all kids under 18), they had no problem getting both rooms attached to one package.
