Seems like every photo lab these days offer this service?

Being one of the few people in the world who still does not own a cam corder or a digital camera I'd like to know if pics can be put on CD only from a digital camera.

The highest tech camera I own is a Canon Sureshot with a zoom.

My best guess or "how I could do it at home" is

scanning the pictures or slides into a JPEG format and then burning them onto a CD.

Any lab can give you a cd of your pictures when you bring them in for developing.

We don't own a digital camera either:D :D . As DAN said, most developers will be happy to put your 35mm pics on a CD.........of course, for an additional fee:D .......

It's not for digital pictures (or at least I don't see why you'd need it --if you have a digital camera, you probably have a computer with the ability to burn your own CD :) ) -- it's for regular film pictures. I've done it for several rolls of film before I got the digital, and it was very nice not having to scan all the pictures. :)

We still don't have a digital camera either! Lately I've been using Costco's 1 hour film developing and they'll also put them on a CD, it costs about $5.00 more. But I think it's worth it.

I'm waiting for the price to drop on the digital cameras that use a CD.
