Photos of yet another new planned DVC turn up

Apparently there is yet another planned new DVC resort in the works. Tink10 isn't the only master-searcher out there. I was poking around and turned up these drawing. From what I can tell, it is clearly a monorail resort - though I can't tell where on the monorail, or even which monorail. That looks like it could be Bay Lake - but it might be some new lake that goes with the resort - or even a new planned monorail on a different lake. Any chance that could be Crescent Lake with a new resort AND a monorail!?!?!

Looks like a very very old drawing, but it would be sweet to have a DVC resort with monorail access. Looks like a poly themed resort.

You are looking at concept art for the Asian Resort, which was never built. In fact, for years there was an Asian Way. The road name was later changed to reflect the name of the resort actually built there - The Grand Floridian.

Until I saw the wink above and the joker below, I actually thought you didn't know what the pics were. Let's see how many people you do fool with this! I'm surprised at the low-level knowledge of WDW History by many on these boards, so I'm sure there will be some.

The Asian was a very beautiful design-concept. I would really loved to have seen the Venetian built though, especially with that monorail spur.

I don't know if anyone else remembers this but way back when the MK, CR and Poly opened, there was a framed painting above every bed in the Polynesian Resort of the WDW Resort. At that time, the entire resort was made up of the Magic Kingdom and the 2 hotels. The framed print showed the area around the Seven Seas Lagoon including the 2 existing hotels as well as 2 future monorail resorts. One of the resorts was where the GF ended up and the other was between the TTC and the CR.

Anyone else remeber that?
