I wonder if anyone here has any photos to share of the fp lines for WOC, esp. in busy/holiday seasons. I'd laike to show them to my DH, b/c a picture is worth 1000 words!:thumbsup2 I am booked for a WOC party when we go,and from all your (helpful) reports,it's gonna be busy! I want my fam to see that paying a bit extra $$ is going to be valuable based on crowds expected. We viewed one on the big WOC thread last night (he was horrified lol) so I was hoping for views of the WOC in general crowds/lines, and also the PTN sidewalk/viewing situations. (I have another thread about 'out of the way' places to view parades like PTN,but still really unsure if any places like that exist in DL,like they do in WDW) any help is SO appreciated! counting down now.....so excited!

DisneyGeek is in the park pretty frequently and posts a lot of photos. I don't know if he has any that you're looking for, but it's worth scrolling through the updates.

In terms of the PTN, I think anywhere along the parade route is fine. That being said, I'm not sure there are really any "out of the way" places to view any parades, even the ones at WDW. At least not spots that have an excellent view along the parade route.

well at WDW (which I'm familiar with) we hang out near the odd ends of parade routes, where others don't flock first. there are a lot of places where less people congregate, but I'm imagining DL to be like Main street usa on a parade route....sometimes there's nowhere to stand at all, forget seeing anything.

To some degree, it's the same at DL. Main Street seems like it's the most popular, but sometimes the very start/end of the route doesn't fill up as quickly. However, by the time the parade starts, the route will be quite busy.

What is an "odd ends" of the parade route in MK? Do you mean the very start/end of the route? When I was there in October, it seemed like the route was pretty crowded without many spots being available for late comers.

thanks for that link! wow..... lots of pics there! I found some that may be useful to my plan:thumbsup2 on the Dec3 update pg 111, is a nice pic of the FP line for WOC (not sure if it's early or late show) along with what I think may be a section of the DP section in one pic too!

well, after going about a million times we are pretty well versed in all the places that are usually in different places, for instance even on a very crowded night we can watch the parade from somewhere in frontierland, usually with a great view from one of the places along the stores area -there are so many to discover! Or in some areas of tomorrowland, etc are good for viewing parades and shows. Main street itself however we avoid at those times as I don't like feeling trapped, literally with no way to move out of the crowd..... wherever people aren't,there I am!:rotfl:

We have had success watching afternoon parades with little wait in front of the fire station or where tours meet near City Hall.

Last Monday, for instance, we got in at 3:40 and noted that the parade route looked pretty full. We met princesses at FF right around 4, and then the parade started at 4:15 (it actually ended up starting around 4:25). We walked from Fantasy Faire down Main Street and everything was packed until the fire station, where it opened up quite a bit - they don't block this area off until close to parade time, so you don't get the hour-long "stakeouts." We went a bit further and ended up right by the "walkway" where they send people between floats, near the tour area/entrance tunnel, and were right in front.

We have viewed Soundsational from this area a number of times with walk-up viewing as well. I wouldn't "count on" it for your only viewing if the parade is super-important to you, but if you're near the hub and it's full, head towards City Hall!
