We are staying at the Dolphin in 2 weeks (yay!). Does anyone know if there is a thread with pictures of the hotel? Or do you have pictures to post of the Dolphin?

Thanks in advance for any help!

We've stayed at the Swan and Dolphin in 2003 and 2005. Loved both resorts. You'll have an awesome time!!

Here are a couple of photos of the Swan and Dolphin.

thank you, both. i had forgotten about allears.net.

andymcv - your pictures are great, but your children are BEAUTIFUL!!
i just love your avatar! you'll see i have one too, i feel a little bad for my other child, but i had to put that one of my son. i tell myself if i put a picture of both of them, you couldn't really see either one since it's so small.
thanks, again!

i'd love to see some more - any body else have any photos of the dolphin, and the pool?

thank you!

There are quite a few right here on the DIS that are for the most part much better and up to date than the ones on allears. Just click on the photos link at the top of this page and scroll down to where the resort pictures are and you'll see Swan and Dolphin listed there.

Here's a gallery from WDW info... :)

Hi magsnden

Awww shucks thanks. :goodvibes

You're daughter and son will have a blast at the Dolphin no question as well as yourselves. Our son was 3 when we first went to the Swan and our daughter was in utero. You couldn't take the smile off his face for a week and a half literally. Every picture we had of him he was grining from ear to ear. The next time he was 5 and she was 1.5. They both absolutely loved it.

They really loved the Grotto pool. It's huge and has a separate kiddie pool for the non swimmers.

I'm not sure how long your trip is but if you go to the Swan/Dolphin restaurants I remember some/all offer a couple hours of free baby sitting while you are dining. We never took it up but it could give you a really nice break. ;)

Make sure you guys walk over to Beaches and Cream in the Beach Club. It's a blast. The burgers and shakes are the best.

We truely love that area. There is so much to just walk around and see with the Boardwalk right there and being in between MGM and Epcot.

Have a great trip!

Andy

oh yeah, i guess i didn't mention - we are going with OUT the kids!!!

it's only for a few days. we were all there in november, right after thanksgiving for a week. but this time, my husband is going for "work" and i'm meeting him there. i'm just going from wed to sunday, which may only be a short time in disney, but a long time away from our kids. so i think it's just enough time.

i'm really looking forward to, no matter how long or short, it will be great for it to be just the 2 of us!

thanks again for all your help!

You ARE lucky! :rotfl:

You and your husband will have a really good time there. Trust me I know what it's like to be away from 2 little ones for a couple of days. You need to get regenerated too. What a great place to do it. You'll love the Dolphin for just the two of you.

We were there last in 2005 and since then they've added the Mandarin Spa. Apparently it's pretty awesome. Since your husband will be at "work" I think it would only be fair that you do some work in the spa. :thumbsup2

It's funny you mention that you're husband is doing work down there while you're staying at the Dolphin. That's exactly what we did in 2003, 2005 and hopefully this year in June. I've been lucky enough to attend 2 engineering conferences just outside of Disney and my boss has let me switch hotels so that we could stay on site. Very nice.
