We just got back and I have posted my trip report on the Trip Report Board, but thought I'd place a link to photos just from WL on this board. We had a courtyard room and I asked at check-in if there could be a lake view and the CM said sorry, no. But when we checked in, I thought I don't know how you could have a much better view of the lake plus the pool which is also very pretty. We were in room 5119 and there are photos from my balcony. The beds were firm with nice downy pillows and the resort was very detailed and nice. The pool was nice and we got a kick out of watching the ducks swim amongs the guests. My ds 6 loved the current in the pool where the creek enters it. Transportation was the only downside. A couple times we waited 45 minutes for the boat. And buses always went to the Floridian before taking us to the park we were going to - which didn't seem on the way at all. we waited between 20-30 minutes for buses. 20 minutes can seem longer though when your either anxious or tired. Although the WL is very nice, Next time I would try a monorail resort and/or rent a car. Hope the photo link works:

We were there at the same time! i LOVED WL, too. We rented a car, but the first night we used Disney transportation and we were frustrated. While waiting in a line of 20 people for the boat to CR, the boat pulled up and 3 people got off, allowing only space for 3 people to board. We would have missed our ADR at Chef Mickey's so we took a taxi instead ($5.25) By the time we finished dinner and shopping, the boats had stopped running. Again, we took a taxi back ($5.00 this time, go figure)

Glad you had a great time, too!

Catfish - we were at the lodge 10/2-10/9 and never had a problem with the buses - I guess we must have gotten there at the right time - never waited more than 10 min for one. As for the boats we only used the one to CR/FW and one was always there within 5 min. The MK boat just takes so much time to get to the park that we opted to take the bus which only takes 5 min - but I did always see quite a line at the dock when we were going to CR.

Nice pictures - thank you for sharing! Your son's a adorable!

Nice view from your balcony!

Welcome home!

Does the bus still go directly from WL to MK? The OP said the bus to the park always went to GF first.

Everytime we used the bus - including on 10/9 - it went directly from WL to MK and from MK to WL. I don't think there is a bus to MK from GF since the monrail is one stop away.

We never tried the bus to MK from WL - now I wish we had. The buses we took to downtown disney, AK, and Typhoon Lagoon went to Grand Floridian first each time. The AK bus also went to Blizzard beach before AK. And on e other went to a water park before taking us home. We took a taxi to breakfast at Ohana's b/c otherwise we would have had to take a bus to Mk then transfer to monorail. I just think we would have relaxed more if we had been in control of our transportation so long as we didn't get lost.

Great pics. We are heading to WL in March and I cannot wait. Sorry to hear about the transportation problems.

No, I asked to have two queens - didn't want the kids fighting over which bunk they got or being able to see the tv.
