I was playing around with iPhoto on my iPad tonight and published my first iPhoto Journal to iCloud. Click below for photos from Aulani taken during our stay last Sept. I think all the photos were taken with my iPad and, thus, are not the highest quality.

Enjoy?

Very nice journal. I have never seen iphoto before. Can you get it for a pc?

Wow, these are beautiful, just showed them to my kids--we can't wait!!:thumbsup2

And thanks for sharing--I haven't set up iCloud yet, I might move a little faster on that now.

Ah, but these are new toys for the Mac and iOS (iPad/iPhone) community. ;) A short video tutorial on iPhoto for iOS: http://macmost.com/iphoto-for-ios.html

Sharing the journal through iCloud was pretty easy! (Now let's hope I don't break things when I go back to edit and tweak!) A short video tutorial : http://macmost.com/journals-in-iphoto-for-ios.html

Thanks for the comments! :yay:

I'm thinking about buying iPhoto for my iPad now with this. Your post might have tipped it towards that. I already have it on our iMac. Nice job, BTW.

PS - love the wristband rainbow!

I'm impressed with your journal. I'm assuming you made up a photo book and then sent it to iCloud. I am curious to know how much iCloud space such a photo book would use, especially since you have buy storage over 5 GB.

Very nice! Too bad you didn't have the new iPad with the better camera. (Says the man writing on his ipad2.)

Yeah, no kidding. However, playing my iPad2 last night with my new software kept me from bugging my DH while he savored the unboxing experience of his New iPad.

If the New iPad had the same camera as the iPhone 4, I would have sold my iPad2 and put two New on order for first day delivery. As it is, I think I'll be happy with my existing unit for some time to come.

I'm looking forward to playing with his for photos to see what I'm "missing."

Thanks for sharing! That was great and you got me psyched for my trip in September!!!

Thank you for sharing. Your pictures looks so peaceful. I will am going to have try iPhoto. I'm new to the Mac book world, this helps me see what I can do it.:thumbsup2

So excited to collect the bracelets! Great pictures:)

The bracelets are used for controlling access to the pools: one per day for each registered guest. (My husband refused to cut off yesterday's bracelet after seeing a "collection" proudly worn on the wrist of a young child. Oh, my. ;) )

Ah, interesting. Seems like a system they could use at Stormalong Bay at BCV.

Great pictures by the way. I'm very jealous. It's so hard to justify the flight cost to get there!

Awesome pictures, thanks for posting :thumbsup2

Do you recall where the 8 cabanas are located?

Awesome pictures.. Thanks for reminding me that Aulani is on my list.. I will go when I have someone worthwhile to go with. ;)

There were a couple near Menehune Bridge (the children's water-park feature) and several more beyond the sting-ray experience as you walk towards the ocean.

Strangely, I can't figure out how much space each journal consumes. The process, initiated directly from iPhoto iOS, publishes the
journal directly to iCloud. I don't actually create/save the journal locally.

I'm only, at this point, using the initial free 5GB. Given my backups, stored content and photo journals (2 total) ... I'm currently using just over 1GB. I hope to determine how to better manage the space!
