See today's MousePlanet DLR Park update: http://www.mouseplanet.com/9220/Disneyland_Resort_Update
I heard that princesses like you will get a chair. If you pay for Ariels Grotto.my commentary is "where are the benches?". Besides that it looks great.I can't ever see myself joining the hordes to watch the show....but I would love to sit there at dusk and watch the gorgeous lights of the pier.

FWIW a message I wrote in a different thread last week:Question:
The show is going to be standing room only so how does this account for little ones being able to see the show? I just can't imagine how my 3 year old can stand and see the show behind 5'-6' tall adults? Any news/info on how this works?
This a common sentiment and based, I think, on a misconception. I am thus replying here to you and everyone else that expresses this sentiment.
Disney is not going to design a show which cannot be viewed by children. It cost tens of million dollars to design and build World of Color and Disney wants kids to see it. Yes, you may have to work a little harder to get a good viewing spot. But kids will be able to see it.
The WOC area has been rebuilt in recent months with terraces added to allow for a better viewing experience. Will it be perfect? I doubt it, like Fantasmic viewing is not perfect. But it does work.
See recent information from the Al Lutz March 30 update on MiceAge:

And there are some helpful photos in this week's MousePlanet's DLR Park Update:

Disney wants to get this right and not have a bunch of complaining guests. I am sure they are working hard to make this as positive an experience as possible. They are using their Fantasmic knowledge built up over 15+ years to guide them.
Everything is going to be OK!

I will certainly be interested to see if Ariel's does become available. I for one will be trying to book a seats there if they decide to offer it, especially since we happen to be there opening week for WOC!I don't want to packed in with 8,999 of my closest friends to see the show!

Disney has not announced anything. Al Lutz of MiceAge reported this back in January:Does anyone know the scoop on seating at AG for WOC?
Don't forget, the viewing amphitheater has been designed as a standing-room only area, with no ground or chair seating available like they offer at Fantasmic!. The 9,000 person audience capacity is all based on every single person standing for the show, as this takes up a lot less room than people sitting on the ground or in a chair. (Thank those industrial engineers in TDA again.) When the amphitheater is opened up to Showpass ticket holders an hour or more before show time, it's going to be standing-room only all the way through the show.
The Resort's restaurant department is planning on offering dining packages that guarantee you a space to stand if you spend a certain dollar amount at a Resort restaurant, and the Ariel's Grotto restaurant will also offer expensive dining packages with a view from their waterside deck. But most of the space in the amphitheater will be reserved for Showpass ticket holders only.
See photos from a MiceChat post a couple days ago...I looked at Micechat, I did't see the benches. They do have pics of the ropes going up. I did notice the stairs were split by the rope in two of the pics. this indicates that one side will be open for walking and the other closed for seating.
I still don't think they will have benches. When the paths are split into a walking and viewing area they are pretty narrow. Though around the play fountain it seems they would have somewher for parents to sit down. Otherwise they will sit up on the walls.
