hi

can someone please explain the photopass for me :) and is it worth getting in your opinions :confused3

thanx in advance :thumbsup2

I think for UK travellers who tend to go for at least 14 days photopass is a good deal.

We've done it twice - definitely pre pay so you pay $99.

Basically you get a card and everytime you see a photopass photographer make an effort to get a photo. Particulary at MNSSHP if we told them we had prepaid they took lots of pics.

Also ask about magic shots - things like pretending tinkerbell is on your hand. If you find a quiet phoographer they are more likely to play around than one with a big line.

We didn't see any at waterparks but went october they are there peak times.

Also at xmas there was a photopass photographer doing formal pics by each xmas tree in the hotels - we saw families in co ordinating outfits obviously having pics done for gifts for family.

If you do BBB they will take posed shots at the studio at either DTD or in MK and add them to the photopass card for no extra charge.

When you get back you go online and can add borders etc to the photos then order your cd with the pics on. cd is posted to you.

Definitely worth it. I got hundreds of photos when I went last and they were fab. And I turned them into thousands by cropping, editing, adding borders etc.

I plan to get even more photos next time :D

We have done the photopass since 2007 and we have some great shots.

Since having DD we value it even more as it means we get group shots with all of us and the photopass photographers at the character meet & greets get some amazing candid shots that we just wouldn't get as they know where to be and also they only have that to do!

This website has great info! Also, if you preorder the cd, you can save $50. Here is the site for the preorder

We never travel without doing the preorder. If you decide you don't want the cd afterall, you can get a 100% refund.

thank you for posting those links, will go over and have a peep :thumbsup2

wow sounds awesome :) we are only going for a week tho but it still sounds worth the dollars, and we could split the cost between the 3 of us which would make it even cheaper

its fantastic when you get memories like that :thumbsup2

i am only going for 1 week is it still worth getting? and with my two 2 friends!!

It really depends on how much effort you make to have the photos taken. We were there last September for 2 weeks and had over 300 pics taken (about a third were at MNSSHP). I then spent the 30 day window adding borders, cropping etc, so we ended up with almost 1000 pics - came on 2 CDs in the end!!!

Oh, thanks just reminded me to order ours! I couldn't then not come on and give my opinion! Ok with 3 friends the same may be true as for our trips it is often the few pictures in a year which have us all in at the same time. Worth it for that alone really. Once you get in the habit of stopping it doesn't add much to the day it becomes a bit of a feature. With the advent of the internet the typical holiday snap isn't quite the same anymore either we have the photo from a previous trip or they can easily be found online. Even if we want to see what an attraction looked like xxx years ago there is usually someway of seeing it. So the photo pass is now just another 'must do' holiday expense in our opinion.

Have a great trip!

thank you all for your help....think i will go for it, sounds like photo pass s the thing to have :thumbsup2

I would definitely say it is worth it.
One thing to remember is that when you go to see your first photopass photographer make sure you and your friends all get your own photopass card. There may be times in the week when you have split up and gone to do your own thing, at which point you will each have your own card in case you see a character or photographer. All of these cards can then be added to the same account, so all the photos will be on the same pre-paid disc :thumbsup2
