Photopass sharing question

I am planning a trip for a friend and her family who have never been to Disney. I have been multiple times, but she hasn't. Another friend sent her an invite to share their online accounts and she now wants to know if you can share a memory maker package. This isn't something I'm familiar with so I could use some help. I know you can link reservations and be able to view each other's photos, but this friend of hers went in early July and she is going in Oct. They will not be there at the same time. She is under the assumption she can just piggyback off of this other girl's photopass account and wants me to cancel hers and get her money back. This isn't something she can actually do correct? The way I understand it is you can view each others photos, view/change reservations, etc. but since one went in July and the other is going in Oct. she has to actually pay for her own Memory Maker package. Am i right? Or is she right and you can do this? Just need a little clarification. Thank you!!

There is too much time between their trips. Your friend is not going to be able to share that memory Maker.

She needs her own memory maker package. It says that they will only capture photos for 30 days. See the faq here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/

Yea she needs her own. I shared ours with a friend who would not otherwise have been able to afford it but she was there just 2 weeks after me.

This share isn't going to work. First photos for the friend were taken early July, we will say the 10th just to give us dates to work with. Those photos taken on the 10th of July will expire on the 24th of August, so that is the absolute latest that the friend could download those photos. Assuming she indeed waited until the 24th to do so, that first download starts a 30 day timer. You can add more photos to the Memory Maker for 30 days after your first download, so the window to add more photos would end on September 23rd, and your friend isn't going until October. At that point, her friend will no longer be able to add photos to her Memory Maker.
