Photopass Questions

We are leaving in 2 weeks and I am unsure if I should buy the photopass or not. This is our first visit and our children are 14 and 17. Is it worth it with teenagers or do they get tired of posing for pictures? Are the photo CMs easy to find? Do you pay extra to add borders and such to the pictures? With the US exchange like it is, I just want to make sure I am getting a good value! I don't need to share a pass since we are going with my parents too! Sorry, for all the questions! Any other advice would be appreciated!

Hi :) We pre-purchased the photopass cd for our sept trip. It's pretty easy to find the photographers but once in awhile you'll have to wait in line for the more popular locations. I have teen daughters and my husband and older daughter got tired of stopping to get our pics taken after the first day. Had I not pre-purchased it we probably wouldn't have stopped so often. I wanted to get my money's worth ;)

If you see people standing in odd poses try to get one of those shots as there will be a surprise when you view it.

The borders are free to add once you get your pics loaded on the site. You can end up with alot of pictures once you start adding stuff.

I occasionally had trouble adding stuff to my pics tho and found it very time consuming at times. I also had trouble ordering from the site. I ordered a calendar early after loading my pics with no problems but when I later tried to order a second one it just wouldn't work. Kept saying my credit card was declined, I tried numerous times with no luck :confused3 . It was very frustrating as it was supposed to be a christmas present. I was able to get my cd tho because it was pre-paid so didn't need to put any credit card info in. If you plan on ordering anything I suggest doing it early on. That way if you have any problems hopefully they could get worked out before your pics expire.

Other than the special posed pics I didn't find the pictures to be any better than the ones my daughter takes with her camera. Of course if you want your whole family in your shots without having to ask strangers the disney photogs are the way to go. Some people ask them to also take pics with their own camera but we didn't do that. If no one else is waiting in line it's probably not a big deal tho.

I enjoyed the pics we had taken and ended up with a few nice family shots. I am glad we tried it but not sure I would purchase the cd again. If they were to add the pics taken on the rides I might consider it. I think there was rumours of that but I'm not sure if anything will come of it.

Unless they changed it you should be able to pre-order the cd at a discount (not sure if you know that).

Hope this helps and you have a great trip!!

I also preordered our photopass for our family's first trip to Disney back in August. Yes, it is expensive, but the photos are priceless, especially for a family's first trip. My girls (4 and 6) understood my obsession with the pictures and were total troopers for their mom and posed every time I asked them too. We did photopass pics when we lined up to meet the characters, we did the BBB photos, the Grand Floridian photopass shoot, and impromptu photos whenever we walked by a photographer. Most times, they were just standing around with nothing to do. I told the photographers I prepurchased the CD and to feel free to take as many photos as they wanted! So many snapped away and did quite a few shots of the same pose even. You can have Tink, Simba, Stitch added to the photos and those turn out really cute!

When we got home, I had an easy time adding borders, cropping photos, etc. Then I submitted my order using the preorder code which included free shipping. The CD came very quickly. I more than doubled my photos by cropping and adding special borders.
