Am I right in saying that if you get this service all photos taken will be included? (So rides, character meet & greets, chance pics, etc) how long could you access them when you get home?

Also, is it worth it? Anyone had any poor experiences of this?

I used Photopass Plus during my last visit. I think it is now called Memory Maker. It was well worth it, especially if you have any intention of buying a reasonable number of ride photos, as it does include them all. For us, the photographers were awesome. I proposed in front of the castle at MK and the photographer snapped away like mad. Very happy. We stayed for 21 nights (this was not a a problem) and we came out with around 300 photos. They were available on the website for about 90 days when we got home, during which time we ordered our photopass CD, which was duly sent.

And yes, it does include your character meet and greets, as long as a photopass photographer is present.

we also had photopass plus (now called memory maker) on our trip in august.

even though we were only there for a total of about 7 days (4 before our cruise and 3 after), we thought it was wonderful.

there were lots of photographers, so lots of opportunities to have pictures taken and i loved getting the ride photos included as well!!
Just the ride photos cover the cost for us. We ride ToT so many times and almost always want the picture - those pictures cost a fortune if you have to pay for them. so it's great having them included in the package!!

The memory maker package includes all your photos taken by a Disney photopass photographer plus on ride photos and selected posed shots from character meals all in the digital format for you to down load.

Photos are available for you to view, edit and download on the website for 45 days from the date the photo was taken. You can buy an extension so this is 60 days.

As long as we are there at least a wek I will always buy the memory maker. Some of the photographers are better than others but we have always have enough good shots to make it worth it. :goodvibes

We used the Memory Maker last October and it was well worth the money. I highly recommend it :-)

I think this is well worth getting, will be great when me and my wife go next year, as we will get some good pictures of us both on holiday :)

We had it in October, and yes it was worth it because otherwise there'd be no photos at all of me! I suspected this in advance and it turned out to be true, :-). We didn't really get much value from the ride photos though, as we're not big into the thrill rides, so tended to ride those only once, and the pics are pretty poor. I definitely wouldn't have bought them on their own. Works better if you ride lots, and either by the law of averages you'll get a good shot, or work out where the camera is and be a little prepared.

Also depends a bit on the time of year. There weren't a ton of photographers as it was a quieter time, so only a limited range of shots at each park. Nothing at resort. Characters were good for us though, although the more minor ones (like Mulan) didn't have a photographer. Also, its not guaranteed. After snapping the family in front of us at Ariel, the PP photographer walked off, so I was left scrabbling to get my own camera out at the last minute, and not being able to be in the pic.

There are a couple of fabulous family groups that kind of make it worth the cost for me on their own. But I wouldn't necessarily get it if I went again.....

I guess that adds up to a cautious yes, dependant on your budet and family preferences :)

Cheers for all the replies guys, I think we will get it and try and make the most of it!

The think I did forget is that because it is just the wife and I that are going, this may be the only way to get pictures of the two of us!!

Thank you

we visited for the first time in 2010 and bought the photopass disc when we got home which was fab. We are going again in august and were intending to do the same again. I've just had a quick search for 'memory maker' and couldn't find it on the Disney website (it was only a quick look!). I seem to remember that photopass was cheaper if you bought it in advance? Is this the case with memory maker? Thanks

Yes its $149 in advance or $199 to buy and use immediately:

You can still get just the disk afterwards but that is now more expensive than pre-ordering the Memory maker :thumbsup2

Hiya, quick question about memory maker: when you buy you are just getting the right to go into the website and download your photos to your computer then? How much extra is it to purchase the disc if you wanted to? I understand I can probably transfer them onto a disc myself afterwards.
I only ask as was discussing this with a friend and I was all ready to buy it when she pointed out that photo pass photographers will use your camera to take photos anyway and if I'm not getting actual prints is there a value in it when I can use my own camera?
Was interested on your views on this opinion , thanks

I would have the MM - they capture shots at meet & greets that I would never get :rolleyes1 Its those "in the moment" shots that I love but I am too busy dealing with autograph books etc and don't want to be stuck behind the camera - I can just enjoy it. Yes the posed ones by the park icons you could get them to take but they are usually a handful of our photos!

I can put up some examples if you want.

You have the right to download all the shots afterwards. I think the disk is $16 or $17 plus postage!

Thanks for that, I am 90% sure I will be purchasing anyway but she did make me stop and think lol

Well worth it have had photo pass plus now memory maker twice. We came home with 900 photos the first time and 700 the next. That was before edits and borders.

I used photopass the last time we were there but at that time they didn't include ride photos on it. It is worth it still though the photos they take are awesome and when they know you have the card you'll find photos on there that you didn't even realise they had taken especially at character meet and greets... only thing I would say is if you order the disk rather than downloading them watch your order carefully because they lost my order last time and nearly lost all my photos.
