Can anyone tell me how I go about buying a photopass? I can read all about it but can't find where to actually purchase it!

Did you check out the PhotoPass website: http://www.disneyphotopass.com

Purchases can be made at the Park before leaving or online at the website above, but you need to be logged in if you want to add your PhotoPass photos from your card or upload your own.

Any PhotoPass photographer in the park will give you a Photopass card--then once you have a card, you can just keep handing over your card each time you want your picture taken and loaded on the card. It is free to get the card and have your picture taken.

I waited until I went home, then I logged onto the Photopass website (the URL is on the Photopass card you get) and looked at my pictures and decided I loved them and wanted to buy the entire CD. All the information was right on the website on how to buy the CD.

I really like that I could look at the pictures before deciding whether or not to buy the pictures/cd. Our first trip the pictures weren't worth purchasing and then the second trip they were fantastic--the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique pictures are what pushed it over the edge.

Yep I am in the process of doing the same. I also like that you can add borders to photos and get the origianl as well as the copy with the border. Now if only I could get my DW to look and put the borders she wants on so I can order them.

Renee70,

You don't actually purchase a "pass." When you see a PhotoPass photographer in the Park, you get your picture taken and they will give you a PhotoPass card. You then use this card every time you get your picture taken during your visit. Then you enter the code on the card into the PhotoPass web site and make purchases from there of whatever you want to buy.

I wouldn't do that... Its safer to get a new card each day or even each time you take a picture. If all your pics are tied to 1 card and you lose that card you are SOL! If you lose 1 or 2 cards out of say 20 for your entire trip but that would be less devastating! I like to just collect a bunch during the day and throw them into a pocket in my suitcase when I get back to the hotel at the end of the day or the mid-day nap! :thumbsup2

I suppose it's a matter of preference and knowing ones own style. That's how we do it.

I would HATE having multiple cards to keep track of as you suggest. That would be a nightmare for me and I cannot imagine doing that! We get one card and use it for the entire trip. We keep it with our ID and park pass.

Also, as a safety net, take a picture of the back of your your PhotoPass card with the number as well as write the number down somewhere. That way if you DO lose it, no loss. :goodvibes

In any case, my point to the OP was that you can use that card for all your photos during a visit if you want.

That's a great tip... I'll remember that for our upcoming trip... But sometimes ya can't help but get more cards... some of the photopass people forget to use your current card and just hand you a new one anyways. Other times I go one way and the DW goes another so 1 pass wouldn't cut it.

We're planning a trip with 3 families - can we use multiple photopasses and add them all to one account when we return and just pay for the one PhotoCD with all the pictures from the multiple cards?

You sure can! The best part about PhotoPass is that no matter how many discs worth of photos you have the price remains the same. So remember to edit your photos and add borders to your hearts content before ordering!

We did this in June. We had our extended family of 20=5 families.

You aren't going to find yourself without a paddle if you loose your card. While in the parks if you go to the Main St. Photo Supply company. You can retrieve lost photos. You just need to know an approximate time and location you had photos in that day. They can then be added onto a different card.

Very true. And furthermore, if you can help them pinpoint one photo you had taken, they can then find every picture that was "zapped" on to that lost card.

Magic!

We usually don't enter our card til we are home from our trip, 2500 miles away from the Magic castle!

I think what skiingfast is saying is if you lose your card while in the Park prior to returning home you can stop in at the PhotoPass shop and recover your pictures. :goodvibes
