We just returned last Thursday 6/14. The night before we combined 4-5 cards that we had accumulated the past 9 days, and purchased the CD for $124.95. Upon packing when we returned from the parks, we found one more card, and THEN this morning, I found another!! I am just sick about this. I have called WDW photopass and left a voicemail, but have not heard back. I left this yesterday (6/18).

Has anyone ever had something similar like this happen??? I think there were about 75 more photos!

Are we out of luck, unless we just pay another $125?!?!!?!

Thanks for any advice...
next time we will be more careful when we are looking for all the cards. The problem was at the waterparks, they just throw one out to you (lazy river etc) so they just kept adding up... uh...

Why did you have so many cards? 1 card should have held all your pics unless there was something specila like test track.

I think it would be cool to have them throw photopass cards to me :)

Anyway, I think the photopass help line might be able to cancel your current order... then you'd be able to add the additional cards, and place another order.

If your order has already been burned, I'd imagine you're out of luck.

I am curious, what pictures are on there? Isn't photopass just for the pictures when you enter the park? I have never used it before so any information would be helpful!!!!!! Thanks

Photopass takes photos at park entrances, in front of landmarks and rides, on select rides (Test Track), with characters, and sometimes they're just "there" :)

I don't understand why you had so many photocards. We use only one, the first one they give you and then everytime you get your pic taken you hand them your card. Having so many there is the chance of losing one.

I would just keep trying to call and maybe they can locate it.

Good luck

We also ended up with 4 cards. Like the OP mentioned, most of them were probably accumulated at the water parks. We had our regular Photopass card that we used at the 4 major parks, as we always had that one with us. But at the waterparks, the Photopass photographers will stand on the side of the lazy river, for example, and take your picture and then just throw you a card with a wristband so you won't lose it. We actually had a couple of the wristband cards already and offered them to a photographer in the wave pool and he just said it was easier for him to give us a new card. So, that's why/how people end up with a bunch of cards. I guess it's easier for the photographers, but it makes it a little more difficult for us because we have to make sure to keep all the Photopasses in one place for when we set up our account.

Also, to the OP, I would attempt to contact Photopass directly. I know that it does take a couple of business days to process an order, and given that there was a weekend in there, you may be able to catch it before the CD is done. Good luck!

1) it doesn't matter why someone has x amount of cards. the system allows for it.

2) test track doesn't require its own photopass card, you can use any photopass card for it

as to OP, I dunno. I know I've heard that when you buy in the parks, they allowed for one free revision, or at least used to. you'll have to wait to hear back from photopass and see what they say i suppose. if you haven't claimed the photos yet, i'd wait and see. worst case, maybe you can find a photopass share to drive the price down.

I feel your pain .

We didn't do a CD this trip but man they don't even give you a chance to hand them your card then make a big stink when you do and they have to rescan it.

The waterparks are the worse but some in the parks and TT are just as bad.

I know this has been said again but DON'T get your CD at the parks get them at HOme.

When you get a new card write a number down and keep track of them all. This way if you lose or misplace one of the many cards you can still get them.

Before you leave WDW try to get some of them combined as you can only do so many on your account.

I would think they couldn't do anyting now but you never know.

I hope they will let you add you other photos to your current order!
But if they do not, I am in a Photopass share group and we are ordering on the 25th. You can join us and add your photos. It would be a lot cheaper for you.
I hope you can get it fixed!:goodvibes

Why shouldn't you buy the CD at WDW? And where do you take your photopass cards at the end of your vacation? Do you keep them until you get home and then order them over the internet? I will be trying to get lots of pictures this year. We are leaving in 1 week and I need to know EXACTLY how this works. Thanks

You would just hold on to your cards till you get home and then plug them in and order the CD. The good part about doing it when you get home is you can edit them; add borders and whatnot. Also, you can compare the photos taken by Photopass to your own photos with your camera and decide if you really need all those Photopass photos.

It's just a more relaxing experience, IMHO than rushing at the end of your trip to get it done before you leave WDW.

I don't know the answer to your question of why it is better to buy the CD at home... I think the poster may have been saying that because at home it's easier to regroup and make sure you have all your cards before you order the CD... you might be more apt to be rushed in WDW and forget a card or two. But again, I'm not sure that's what the poster was talking about - I'm sure they can give you the reason why.

As for how Photopass works, it's really easy. When you get your first pic, the photographer will give you a card. Then you can just give that card to any other Photopass photographers that you see and they will take your pic and scan the card. The reason people end up with multiple cards is that sometimes a photographer scans another one before you have a chance to hand them yours, or especially at the water parks, the photographers are not in places where it is easy to hand them your card (or you may not have it with you unless you have a waterproof pouch), but they will just throw you a card with a wristband so you can wear it around. When you get to the water parks, you'll see what everyone is talking about... we saw people there with wristbands going halfway up their arms! :rotfl: Then when you want to order the CD or a photobook or anything, you log on to the Photopass website, plug in the numbers of your card(s) and that will give you one account with all the photos on it. It is really a great service. It was only DBF and I on our last trip and we would have only had a couple of pictures together (thanks to the nice people that stopped to take pics for us!), but with Photopass we have tons! And you can add logos and edit the photos from you account as well, so you should end up with some really nice shots... enjoy!

One of the CM's told me when I was there 2 weeks ago that if you order the CD at the park you do not get the edits and borders. You will get those when ordering the CD at home.

:yay: Wow!!! I cannot believe this. We may not have gotten any Year of A Million Dreams surprises while we were there last week 1/2 , but Disney has come thru for us now! I just received a call from Disney Photopass, and he said "not a problem, we'll just reissue you another cd with your new photos on there". FREE of charge, and FREE shipping/handling. He said not to worry about, this happens alot. We actually have our original CD with 89 photos in our possession now so it completely surprised me. He said we could just hang on to our CD we have now and keep it and then the other would be ours to keep as well. The new CD will have 151 photos or more... And they were really great shots on those extra cards. He just emailed me a promotion code, so I can just do this online. I can also add any extra editing online as well he said. COOL!

Yes it does make it difficult when there are photographers giving you these extra cards-but like a few people mentioned it is easier in alot of cases b/c of the activities they are doing. (lazy river etc). Another instance that happened was my daughter was coming down the zip line at Blizzard Beach, and the photographer was just taking pictures of each child as each one of them came down. Then when they got out of the water, she just handed that child a wristband with the card attached. I sure learned my lesson with this..if you have more than one card...keep them all in one place! I think we had 6-8 cards from the waterparks..that is where it got all confusing.

I am just so relieved...Thank you Disney !!!
