photopass prints

has anyone ordered photopass prints after they've got home? if so, were they well packaged/arrived undamaged? and were you hit with any customs charges?

We didn't order prints but we did have two of the photo books. They were well packaged and no customs charges to pay. They arrived a week after we placed the order. Would definitely recommend them.

When we ordered just the CD it arrived fine, no customs charge. However when we got home we ordered some Disney cutlery that we regretted not buying when over there (only $40) and got whacked with a £15 customs bill!!! So I'm not sure if they charge it if the parcel is over a certain weight? It couldn't be cost as the photo disk cost more!

We ordered the CD and the Photobook once we arrived home and they both arrived about a week later un-damaged. I was VERY pleased with both items, great keep-sake of our holiday! Will definately be doing it again when we go back on our family trip in 2010!!

I've ordered prints after each holiday and last year was the 1st time we had any problems. One of the photos had a scratch in it, so I e-mailed and not only did they replace that photo but also all of the others i had ordered, about 10 I think. Never got charged by customs at all.

sounds like excellent service. And with the MNSSHP discount I reckon they probably work out nearly as cheap as I can buy the paper and ink for as well(and I assume their printer is way better quality than mine!)!

I think I'll be ordering a few

But I thought the idea of PhotoPass was that you ordered the CD and then printed the prints you want back in the uk. What advantages is there to ordering the prints from Disney. I've paid for our PhotoPass for our trip in 35 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't think I fully understand what Ive paid for.

Sounds like you have pre-ordered the photopass CD (you get all your photopass photos in high res on one cd), I ordered prints last time (in DW not here) because I only had about 6 photopass photos, however to make better use of the cd I would recommend going photopass crazy

we went crazy and got 106 photos on our photo pass and now thats over double now I have added the frames etc. I also uploaded my own photos to get the borders and I will order the prints of those and as I have pre ordered the cd I will get the photopass ones to print myself

You've paid for the CD - I paid for that as well.

However I know from looking on the website that we had some quite nice photos taken, and as we have the MNSSHP (halloween party) 40% off prints voucher, I'm thinking of getting some of the prints as well. This is mainly because they seem to work out pretty good value, and hopefully disney are able to print them at a better quality than I am.

If you look on the photopass website, (you'll probably need to register first if you havent already) you will see all the other products you can use your photopass pictures for, like tshirts, mugs, standard prints and even fairly massive canvas prints.

We got up to 410 in total after editing but that did include two photo sessions and making use of every single photographer we saw!

I'm wondering how many CD's thats going to fill?!?

They will probably come on one cd. In july we ended up with 1272 after editing. We were quite a large party of 15 plus 4 friends. Ours came on 3 cds.
