I have a question about PP photogs at Character Dining. I know that they are not available during your meal to take pictures of you interacting with the characters, but I do know that they are there when you first arrive and they take a picture with you with a character before they seat you. (i.e. Ariel at Ariel's Grotto or last time we were there it was Daisy at Lilo and Stitch breakfast). That PP photog that is there that takes the picture, does he/she have the capability to put your picture on a PP card? Or do they not have the little scanner thing..?

Last time at Lilo and Stitch breakfast, we took a picture with Daisy and the photog didn't over us a card, and later a CM came to our table with the picture already printed.

I was just wondering because I don't remember if they can do this or not. I would rather put the picture on my PP card than to buy and carry around an already printed picture..

TIA!

At Goofys kitchen, they would not put it on your PP card. They just print them off there for you to buy on the spot. I was disappointed about that, as the pics were good... but too expensive for me!

They will however, take a picture with your camera;)

Last month at Minnie & Friends ~ no PP photog's, at Ariel's last Sept. a photog took a photo of DD with Ariel but it was not put on our card, we could've purchased ridiculously over priced foto's ~ we opted not to .

Do you remember how much the pics were?

We were just there last week, (goofy's and Stitch) and the photographers said we could have them added to our pass - they put the number on the reciept and we could go to either the photoshop in DCA (I think it was in the gift shop just inside the gates) or the one in DTD and have them added to the photopass. Not sure if this was because we bought the photos already or not!:)

I think the pics at Stitch were $30 or something - for some reason it sticks in my head that Goofy's was slightly cheaper - just over $26, but I could be mistaken, since dh took care of buying both pkgs! The pics weren't cheap, but since we decided we didn't get enough photopass pics to order the cd, like we'd planned to do, I am really glad we got them, since they will be the only family pics we have of the trip!

I am thinking $35 for one 5x7 and $50 for the package of 5x7, 8x10 and two wallets.
That is what pops into my head right now anyway, I could be off... but I would guess not by much! They were expensive! Especially when you consider how much you spent on dinner, they should give you one for free!

You have to buy the picture they bring to your table in order to have it added to photopass.

Which means it's only worth it if you have more than one person who wants a copy of that picture, in other words, keep the Disney-printed one for yourself and send more prints made from the photopass account (or printed anywhere you want if you buy the photopass CD) to grandma and auntie and your best friend from college. :upsidedow

Thanks guys! That's what I was thinking.. They didn't offer to put the picture on your photopass card when we bought the pictures from Lilo and Stitch.. I KNOW it wasn't $50 though. We got 1 5x7 2 8x10 and a couple wallets.. I want to say $30something? I need to look on my bank from December to see what the price was. But I don't think it was $50?

eh, I am probably wrong then :upsidedow ! Those numbers sounded right to me, but then again the minute they said the price I thought "no flippin way will I pay THAT for a picture!" My memory is probably inflating the price, lol.

Lol. That's what I was thinking! No way would I have paid $50 for a picture with me and Daisy!!! Even if I did have fun that day! Psh!! I'll check later today to see what the price was though, because now it's bugging me...

Our package came with 2 8x10 photos - one of us with the character at the front, and an autographed photo of goofy/stitch (whichever breakfast we were at).

We were there a couple of weeks ago and bought one at Ariels and Goofy's. Our price was $32.95 for one 8x10 and 4 - 4 x 6 (two different poses) at each restaurant.

I wish there were photogs for the character meals because when we finally did get to meet Cinderella...the windows were directly behind her so the pics didn't turn out great and the one close up I got because she seemed to be in a hurry....I cut her head in half!!!!!

But regardless, our goal was to meet her and Lexi was in 7th heaven. She almost melted into her seat!
