We just got back Sunday and had the PP+. We started off using only the PP+ card to claim all photos --rides, characters, random ones in the parks -- but then a friendly CM told us that we could use our MBs to claim them, and since I had my whole family's bands linked to my MDE account, I saw all of the MB collected photos instantly when I logged in (from the internet, though, not in the app). Once I added in the PP+ account number to MDE, I got all of those photos too. We had a couple other regular PP cards that I was able to use as well (once from ETWB, for example). Once I was satisfied that all our disney photos were there, I was able to order the cd, using the promo code.

Now, while we were there, we heard all kinds of different things from CMs. Some were adamant that we use the PP+ card to claim photos, some were adamant that we use the MB, and some were pretty sure either way would work, btu because they were used to using the PP+ cards, they preferred to do it that way. So I think we're all on a bit of a learning curve.

Bottom line, OP, is that your family members, if they're linked to you in your MDE account and have given you access to their accounts, should be able to claim ride photos on their MBs that you can add to your PP+ CD.

There has always been the option with PP and PP+ to do the download instead of the CD so hopefully they keep that option for those who want it. Also, the ride photos and ride photos only, were always downloads on my account as well as on the CD. I have no idea why, but I know that I got to download those immediately, but had to wait for the CD for the rest of the photos (and the ride ones were put on there too)

We did not do any meals with a photo package so I can't comment on those.
