PhotoPass, Memory Maker question

Yeah, they just added this and I hate it. Made it very hard to determine when eyes were closed and such. They went a bit overboard on it
Did you have Memory Maker purchased in advance and still see the watermarks?

If you wear a shirt that says "Disney PhotoPass" and position yourself just right, you may be able to blend in with the watermark.

I have pre-purchased Memory Maker and am looking right now at family members' photos taken over the last couple days. The watermarks are now in every preview picture. I haven't downloaded yet, so possibly they will go away once I activate MM.

I hope they make an adjustment so I can download to my iPad. I don't want to travel with a laptop!

Super lame! What do you mean by "activate MM"? I assume you mean make begin to download?

The files are large zip files...I don't think that'll be changing any time soon. I think your ipad would need to make an adjustment for the zip files.

That being said, you certainly don't have to travel with a laptop. Your photos will be waiting for you when you get home. They take way too long to download via the resort wifi anyway, in my opinion.

Right, once you hit "download" for the first time the 30 day MM counter starts. Until then you haven't actually redeemed your MM.

It is kinda lame but I get it. I did the same thing as you last year, zooming in on a preview pic with my phone and taking a screenshot.

Yeah, I understand why they've added that - surprised it took them this long, really. Good to know - I will just download a photo my first day and get around that for my own convenience.

Yes and yes. They are a new addition though
The watermark did go away when the MM was activated

You can. Just use the web browser instead of the app

They are only large zip files if you download ALL the photos at once. You can download just 1 by clicking download on the individual photo vs. the home screen.

Ok. That's great. Thank you

I'm thinking I might want to use a photopass picture for our Christmas cards this year, so I'll only want to download one. If I get a picture taken one day, that night can I download it to my Ipad photo stream so I can upload it to a photo printing center? Will it only be $15? I'm trying to figure out a way to get a Christmas Disney family pic on our first day at MK and get our cards printed in Orlando to mail them from MK a couple days later. (Which will be Christmas Eve). I don't have a laptop. Any suggestions? I also thought about just having someone take our picture with our own camera and then going to one of the resorts with a business center and uploading myself. I don't know what would be better or easier.

I had MemoryMaker last week and I was able to download my photos to my phone. I immediately shared some on Facebook. I could've easily uploaded them to Snapfish or Shutterfly or whatever. It is worth noting that the iPhone app is very, very glitchy when it comes to the PhotoPass stuff, though.

However, I don't know if you can purchase photos directly from the app...you could probably go to one of the camera places at the parks to take care of it if you can't.

I wrote a review about the Memory Maker (no longer called Photopass), the link is in my signature. Sometimes you get GREAT photos, sometimes you don't. The price has gone up quite a bit, it was $149 when I first bought it in 2013

Yes a single download is $15.

I just want to confirm - you were able to save your pictures to your phone? We don't own a computer at all and that's been the one thing holding us back from purchasing MM. Now, if we can still save our pictures from our phones and tablet, that's a done deal.;)

Yes, but it's not a super efficient or convenient process - and the app is still very glitchy (I can only see pictures from Epcot at the moment, for example). It's doable and I am sure the app will improve, though.
