Hi. Last time i went i did get some taken but i didnt get the cd. For our upcoming trip i would like to get one but want some more info first.

How many pics did you end up having on your photopass cd? How many days were you in Disney?
Are the photographers always there, or only certain hours? How about for EMH?

Loved it!
Over 250 edited pictures.
The best is the night shots and the waterpark shots...They are in the pool!!

Don't forget to bring your own camera anyway. Even though it seems like the photographers are everywhere, they never seem to be there for that spontaneous picture.

We had over 200 pics for last time for our 6 day trip. The CD is very worth it to us. Not every picture was good or "usable" for scrapbook purposes but there were definately more than 8 of them that were good and 8 is the cutoff when the CD becomes "worth it" (pics cost $13 in the park so $13X8 is $104. Pre-ordering CD is $100)

I'm curious about your photos - when did you go and did you put the "embellishments" on at home or at WDW? I did not see either of these embellishments as an option :confused3 Thanks!

I just got about a week in a half ago.
I did all the embellishments at home.
I had tons of options with each photo. Also with each photo I had different options...

Here's a few more...

We got about 250 edited pictures also. I ended up using 75 of the pictures in my scrapbook! We were at WDW for 9 days. Photographers were everywhere! We got pictures of our boys individually, pictures of one of us with the boys/boy, and family pictures. The photographers do not mind taking multiple pictures. We definitely got our money out of it and we did all of our embellishments and editing at home. Make sure you ask them to do the special poses:

MGM: Pointing to Stitch coming out of the road
Epcot: Holding Tinkerbell near Spaceship Earth, crouching down so Mickey, Pluto and Donald could go Soarin' over you, Stitch sitting on a bench with you
AK: Holding baby Simba
MK: Holding Tinkerbell

Add-on graphics and borders change according to the picture location and content. For instance - the Goofy signature only appears as an option for pics with Goofy in them. There are similar signatures for Mickey, Minnie, and Donald, and I think for some of the other popular characters, too.

Borders change as well; there are different choices for each park, plus general WDW borders with the year, and during the holiday season, there are plenty of holiday-themed borders and add-on graphics.

All of these options appear on the PhotoPass web site after you claim your pics. As you choose options for each pic, you will be prompted to save a copy of the pic with whatever options you choose, so that your account will have the original, unaltered pic, plus as many copies with different borders and graphics on them as you choose to make. You can also crop pic down a bit if you want to tighten up the frame on your subject.

All of this editing can make a 30-pic PhotoPass account ballon up to 100 pics or more. It's not unusual for folks to come home with 150 pics and wind up with 300-400 in their account after saving multiple copies with different graphics and cropping combinations.

When you get your PhotoPass CD, you will get all of the pics in your account - the originals, plus the copies you made. The only things not included are any of your own photos that you upload to the PhotoPass web site (for use in photo albums) or any of the stock Disney photos athat are available on the site (for use in photo albums).

The PhotoPass CD does not include any software for modifying your pics, so you should do all of those moidifications on the web site before you finalize your CD order. However, the files on the CD are standard JPG format images, directly downloaded from the Nikon digital cameras that the PhotoPass photographers use in the parks. They are 6-megapixel images, and are not copy-protected (excep that they are on a read-only CD), so you can modify them in any way you choose with your own software once you copy them off the CD onto your computer.

There is a legal release included on the CD granting you ownership of he pics, so that you can use them for any personal purpose you want. You are only prohibited from using them for commercial purposes. This release is important, because many printing places like WalMart and Ritz refuse to print pics that "look professional" without a written release.
