I've not been to DLP for over 4 years and can't remember if they do photopass like they do in WDW. We really love getting all our photos taken and then adding frames and things on to the photos when we come back home. Does anyone know if this is available here or not.

Unfortunatly not and I really think they are missing a trick here!

Oh I second that. I think it really is a shame that there isn't photopass :sad1: We used it all the time at WDW and would most definately use it if they had it at Disneyland Paris.

There's not Photopass as far as I understand it, but there are official photographers at character meeting points throughout the park and in the Disney hotels at set times. We got quite a few 'official' pics by buying batches (which work out much more in comparison to Photopass) but it might be an idea if you want a professional photo with a Character to remember your trip by!

I agree though, I had no idea until it came to planning our WDW next September what a Photopass was but now I know, I definitely think DLP are missing a trick! I'd have one for each trip for sure! :confused3

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

P.S. Great to see another Scot on the board....:thumbsup2

DLRP uses a similar scheme, but it is not as good as photopass as you can not claim your pictures once you are out of the park and back at home. If I remember rightly from the Summer, you get a receipt or similar from the photographer which you can then take to the shop in whichever park you are in to view and claim your photos.

I do agree with the other posts here though - DLRP is really missing a trick as it's great fun to collect your photos, then view them all when you get home as you can have quite a large number by the end of your holiday and they offer some great options - especially the photo books.

Yes, once you've had them taken you get handed a slip from the photographer and you go inside the park to the nearest store by the end of the day and view and buy whichever ones you want. The more you buy the cheaper they get so its worth hanging off til the end of the day when you might have more.

But yes, each set is only accumulatable that one day and for that individual park. So you can't combine ones from the hotel with ones from WDS and with ones from DLP to save money. Each must be batched and batched each day, if that makes any sense, so it can turn out pretty expensive (as I found out when I totted up all my receipts when we got home :scared1: ).

But may be worth it to get just a one-off done to mark the occasion!

Might have to write to DLP and suggest they bring in Photopass, if only for us addicted DISers :rolleyes1

what is a photopass??

When in WDW any time you see a disney photographer they will take your photo and you get a card, size of a credit card, that they then scan. You only need 1 card for your whole holiday and use it anywhere in disney. When you get back home you can go online and view your photos. You can also add borders or signatures etc. You then order individual photos or you can have them all on cd. They also do personalised calendars or photo books. They are all really nice.
It is also free to use the photopass service you only pay if you want to purchase something.
