Just got the photopass+ ordered yesterday (24 days out from our 1st trip!!:cool1:) and have a few questions.

1. What happens if I do not receive the voucher/card in time? Can I show them the receipt I was emailed and get it at Disney?

2. When we have our pic taken by a photopass photographer, do I give them the card before or after the pic is taken? same at character dinners? rides?

Thanks again to everyone for your help...this is our first ever trip to WDW and I think I am more excited than the kids lol!

I don't know the answer to your first question, but I've always handed my card to the PhotoPass photog at the beginning. I believe they scan it when they are done with the pictures....but can't swear to it, it's been 4 years since my last trip. Going back in just over 3 weeks!

1. You should get your photopass information before you leave, but if you happen not to, bring your reciept and go to the PhotoPass Service station in Magic Kingdom.
2. When you stop at a photopass spot, give the person your card before you take you picture, same with any character meals you go to. On the rides, you just go up to the photo center at the end of the ride and tell them your photo number, they'll put it on for you.

We used the photopass plus for the first time our last trip and loved it! Especially if you do a lot of photo rides and character meals. It's great!
Have a wonderful trip!!! :cool1:

We slid our card into a clear luggage tag and tied that to the outside of the bag we carried for the day so it was easy to access. Photopass was able to be scanned through luggage tag plastic no problem. Also recommend taking a picture of your photopass once you receive it in case it is lost. You can register it too to make it easier to find photos if actual card is lost. We forgot our pass on our last character breakfast at O'hana and they wouldn't accept the photograph on our phones as proof but did offer us an empty photo holder and I was able to call the next day and describe my family and the added the photo to our account.

I have additional questions on this subject... Hope it is o.k. if I add them here.

1. Can you get more than one Photopass+ card??? My DH is going to go & ride all of the huge rides with the older part of our family while I take the younger kids to see the characters & on the smaller rides. Can we get 2 Photopass+ cards so that we can all get our ride photos from different rides that we are riding at the same time?

2. I hear that in order to get your character dining photos on your photopass+ card you still have to purchase the photo package that is brought around to your table. Is this true? It would be nice to know in advance so that I don't stop for character photos if I still have to pay extra for them.

1.) you only get one photo pass+ card. But you can get regular photo pass cards and link them to your account

2.) the pictures are included with the photo pass+ card. You do not need to purchase the photo packages at the restaurant.

1. The smaller rides don't offer photos. The only ride without a height requirement that has a photo is Buzz Lightyear.

2. The benefit of PP+ with regards to the dining photos is not having to purchase them in order to get them on your account.

Thanks all for the great advice. Photopass+ is new to me this year.

Thanks - I will just get a second Photopass card & link it to my Photopass account. I put a link below to where I read on these boards that you have to buy the actual photos when dining to get them on your Photopass+ account.

My kids are tall enough to ride things like Test Track but not tall enough to ride Rockin Roller Coaster & they are not ready to ride Tower or Terror yet. I am going to buy Photopass+ I will just have to see how it works out. I thought that it didn't make a lot of sense to have to buy the dining photos when I paid for Photopass+ but I did read it on these boards.

This is where I understood that you had to buy the pictures table side in order to get them on the Photopass+ account: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/photopass.htm#photopassplus

Here is what it says on the DISboard information page for Photopass+
PhotoPass+ allows guests access to digital files of all their photos taken by PhotoPass photographers (within a 14-day period), photos taken while on certain attractions and any dining print packages they have as well. Guests will also receive a PhotoPass+ card and lanyard and a CD with 400 stock gallery photos.

The PhotoPass+ service can be purchased at any of the PhotoPass viewing stations throughout Walt Disney World. When guests return home after vacation, they can order a CD that includes all of the above-mentioned photos. The price of the service is $199.95.

Participating attractions:

Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Rock 'n Roller Coaster
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
Test Track

Character dining locations offering PhotoPass (tableside photo purchase is required to add the photos to your PhotoPass card):

1900 Park Fare
breakfast at Ohana
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
Chef Mickey's
Cinderella's Royal Table*
breakfast at Tusker House
Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
Akershus Princess Storybook Dining*

*price of photo package is included with meal.

This was all under the large header reading "Photopass+" It was probably just never updated when it changed from regular Photopass?

I'm on my kindle and the quote feature isn't cooperating.... I think the confusion with the dining photo info is that they are only included with PP+. If you are just using a regular PP card, you have to purchase the photo package, then they will add them to your regular PP account. If you have PP+, they will just give you the photo package and add them to the account at no additional charge.

Thanks!!! I could not find any real details on an official Disney Photopass site and the post that I quoted from here on the DISBoards confused me a little bit. I'm easily confused ya know? ;)

So... if you have the PP+ card, at the character meals, they give you the printed photos & the photos on the PP+ account? That is an awesome deal!!! I wonder if the new BOG restaurant will include the character photo on the PP+ card? Does anyone know this? I am assuming that maybe they won't include it since the restaurant is so new & all.

Yes, you have it right! You get the print package and they will go onto your card. I'm 99.9% sure BOG doesn't do a photo package, but I think they sometimes have PP photogs while the Beast is there during dinner hours.

In fact there are more informations available in the help section of thedisneyphotopass site than on the actual Disney photo pass site main pages.
There is a little help link on the upper right corner of the Disney photopass site

Hope this will help you...

oh - thank you! Our DS wanted the photos from our Tusker House Ressi in Animal Kingdom so badly last year, but we decided not to spend the extra $$ in the end. We have a Ressi there this year again & I was hoping that we would get to keep our family's photos with Donald on our PP+ card. Our DS will be thrilled!!!
