I know Test Track has been the only ride available on the PhotoPass system at WDW. However, I had read that a roll-out of ride photos had been scheduled to begin in Spring 2008. Anyone have news of this being implemented yet?

I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this question too. I would have thought that they would have implemented it for Everest since that attraction is so new...oh well!

:)

 Hey there, missy!

I completely agree with you on Everest. What I had read is that initially they will put it in on the newer rides. I'm sure it will take some time before they'll have all the rides converted. I'm just hopeful that by September there will be more than just Test Track on that list. **fingers crossed**

I had no idea this was even happening. Are you saying the picture they take on the ride will be tied into photopass? So that means if you buy the 100 dollar cd, your ride photos would be on it? That would be HUGE.

Currently, the only attraction that is tied into the PhotoPass system is Test Track. My DBF and I bought our PhotoPass CD in December and that photo was on there. If they decide to upgrade the other attraction photo locations, there's a chance that those too would be included in the PhotoPass packages.

It's likely to be a while before this gets expanded to other rides. But it is cool to get Test Track pics on photopass.

Currently, when you go to the ride photo "viewing" area at Test Track, you can insert your photopass card under the screen to save your photo. It's definitely the way all the photo rides should go :thumbsup2

That'd be so cool! :yay:
i was SOOO happy when i was able to put my test track picture online, but then i relized there was no everest photo and i was sad.
:(

Oh that would be so nice! This would give you more time to review your choices and avoid the revolving crowds at the monitors checking pictures.. Just scan and go, and order when you get home!!!!

My understanding is there is a contract issue with the Ride Photos.

Test Track because it was under GM was never part of that contract ( I wonder if ToyStorymania is linked or is there even a ride Photo).

I think they can't even talk about things until the contract is up.I also heard about the Spring 08 time frame so maybe things are in the works.

Well it is summer and from what I have heard they still havent rolled it out so I think it is a dead rumor but I would love it!!!!

I would imagine that if they put more rides on the system, the cost for the CD would go up. They would lose so much money on photo purchases on-site, so they would have to bump up the price I would think.

I agree that they would lose money, but on the other side think of the equipment and manpower they would save by not having to man those stations:( . At Test Track the only manning is one person that stands there and helps people that don't know exactly what to do. As it gets more and more popular and people use the system I could see that person going away as well:(.

I only ever paid for those pictures on my first trip to the world and have never bought any since then. We have been a couple of dozen times since then.

Just my two cents, but I am hopefull that they will implement this on all of the ride photo shops.

I'm no business tycoon, but I don't think they'd lose money. I think more people would buy the CD. Hope it's more than just a rumor. Would love to have EE and TSM by September!

Toy Story Mania doesn't take your picture. So it can't be included on the cd.
