Hi All,

Many of you know that DH and I went to WDW in early October for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had not been to DW in 12 years and the trip came up on a whim. With 6 weeks to plan (and a lot of advice from various places including here) we put together a great trip and had an incredible time!

While at WDW
We had PhotoPass photographers take our pictures whenever we saw them (if we weren't late for wherever we were headed or there wasn't too long of a line). I attempted to join a PhotoPass share that didn't work out, so DH and I debated the cost. We decided we would do it, I would put together an album and it would be our anniversary gift to each other.

The Clock Starts Ticking
I entered my PhotoPass code into the website on 10/15/2008. I started bordering my pictures.

Blending Parks?
Shortly after we returned, I went to DL for Halloweentime photos and got a few PhotoPass pictures taken as well. I wasn't sure what would happen if I added them in with our WDW photos. I added them to my account without any issue.

Uh-oh, 11/15/08!
The first week of November, I sent an e-mail to PhotoPass support and requested an extension on my photos. I was given 30 days (going to mid-December). This was better than I had expected, especially because I had plans at DLR in early December.

December Celebrations
The first weekend in December, I threw a surprise party for my mom and took her and a few of her friends to Disneyland. I got Mom a PhotoPass card which we used a little, not much, and took it back from her at the end of the night.

DH and I then went to DL to enjoy the Christmas decorations together during the second week of December.

Never Hurts to Ask
I wrote again to customer service and explained that we had taken an unplanned visit to DLR and would love to include my holiday photos. Could I have a few more days? I was given another week.

I sat up late at night adding borders, cropping, etc... until I just couldn't do it anymore. I spent another hour on the night they were set to expire and ordered my CD.

Bang for Our Buck!
I received in the mail my PhotoPass CD with 413 photos with borders from: the various WDW parks, DL parks, F&W Festival, Halloween at both DL and WDW, Christmas, Channukah, Dreams Come True, New Years, Happy Birthday. Over 20 different borders from 6 parks. The pictures are all 300 dpi, print quality, a few not-so-great, but most wonderful shots of 3 months of Disney fun! And because of some special when I bought my CD, I still have a credit for a photo book on Disney's site. If that isn't getting our money's worth, I am not sure what is!

Kid at Heart Memories
Oh, and for those of you who remember me being a bit hesitant about waiting in line with all the kiddos for getting my picture taken with characters... well, despite the fact that Chip and Dale eluded me on 5 different occasions - a sore point of our trip - even for a big kid! haha, I have me with 28 different characters and 2 versions of Mickey from our Two Big Kids Loose in the World Anniversary Trip!

Just thought I would share my PhotoPass happy ending,
Dreams

That is bang for your buck, all right!:thumbsup2 Make sure to post some of them on the "Photopass Poses: the Cheesier the Better" thread, where the rest of us have our PP shots...and not all of them are cheesy!

That PhotoPass CD is really a good deal. I don't think a lot of folks realize that. When my friends were first complaining about the price of buying a few of the individual pictures, I told them about the CD price and they still seemed underwhelmed. I realized that they still had the idea stuck in their minds of just a few individual pictures. So they were thinking $66.95 for two or three photos! The first PP CD I got in October initially had 58 pictures on it, which I turned into 112 (I got impatient with the editing after a while and stopped). A much better deal for the $66.95. This new CD that I am expecting to arrive any day now has 300 photos on it, and I started with 97. I took the time to crop and edit or enhance most of them and try different borders on the same shots, but then I just got sick of editing and threw in the towel! In any case, just knowing that I could have continued and created 500 more versions of the existing pictures and still paid $66.95 was very satisfying. And also, because I went to DLR last time with a variety of crappy cameras, it helped to have PP as a back-up. I used PP mostly for my 'people pictures,' and used the cameras I brought for the scenic stuff.

Of course, my 'dueling with Captain Hook' shots were left off the CD at first, but I managed to get PhotoPass to replace them.....without Captain Hook in them (technical difficulty or photographer error - they gave me two different stories). That's okay - it just looks as though I am dueling with thin air, or with my 'imaginary adversaries.';) :rotfl:

First of all - so glad you were able to enjoy all those trips! And HOORAY for getting to use the same Photopass for it all. I hope you enjoy the photos and the memories they represent. You had a celebratory year! :goodvibes

Make sure to post some of them on the "Photopass Poses: the Cheesier the Better" thread, where the rest of us have our PP shots...and not all of them are cheesy!

Here is the link, kaleighmariesmom: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=27611361#post27611361&highlight=Photopass+Cheesier

I should have included it earlier when I mentioned it! I will also bump the thread so it will be easily accessible!

...Now here's the big question. Did you get WDW or DLR pricing for the CD? :goodvibes

Well, this one will remain a mystery still. (Sort of like a tootsie roll pop... the world may never know! :lmao: )

Since I did the pre-order deal for WDW CDs, I paid the WDW price BEFORE any codes were entered into the web site. So by the time I entered the DL pictures, the CD was already paid for and I had a redemption code for when the CD was ready to be ordered.
