Hi All,

Do you know whether that Disneyland disc (that has about 300 Disney photos) with the coupon for a free photopass disc is still available? (Also, what is this disc called? - so I know what to ask for.) Where do I purchase it from? Do I buy it before I start having photopass photos taken?

Can someone please tell me the steps (from beginning to end) of going about getting set up for getting photopass photos taken, all the way through to getting them developed?

Also, where do you get the disc with the character signatures? What else does it have on it? Do I add the character signatures to my photos when I get home or does someone at Disneyland have to?

Thanks!

It's the Gallery CD. I know its at the Kodak store on main street. It'll say on it if it includes the free photopass CD. You can get itany time during your trip. You may want to view your pics at the Kodak store before deciding if you want to buy the cd or not.

Photopass is simple:
1) get photo taken by photographer
2) they scan and give you a photopass card
3) get more photos taken and they'll scan above card
4) you can view your pics in the park if you choose
5) buy gallery cd before the end of your trip
6) within 30 days of your first photo, log onto photopass website and enter number on card
7) if you purchased and photos at character meals, there's a number on the edge of large photo to add to photopass
8) edit photos, add borders, crop, make black and white..
9) you have 30 days from uploading to order any prints, cd, etc.

Some signatures ell come up as border options. Like Mickeys at photos taken in toon town, at character meals.

Also you'll have extra Tink borders on pixie hollow photos, princess ones at PFF, etc.

The viewing area across from Soarin' had the gallery CDs last week as well.

Can you preorder DL Photopass like at WDW (and if so how) or do you just get it when you return? Is the price $59 either way?

The price is the same either way. There is no way to preorder it that I'm aware of. The price doesn't revert to the Disneyland price until after you put your Disneyland photopass number in.

Ok, now I am confused. Someone else had posted that you can pre-order photopass for $99.95 and this came with the ability to do the borders etc. But now I am hearing the $59.99 price. Can someone clarify for me? What does the $59.99 price include, can you still do the borders? Is it online or at the park? Was it a special or the standard price?

Sorry if this is a repeat but I just spent all day on a field trip with 90 second graders and then 2 and a half hours at karate. My brain is not fully working :sad2:

Thank you so much for the help.

$99 is a special price on the WDW version your get by buying before your visit. $59 is the regular DLR price before or after your visit. With either you claim your photos online and can edit them including adding special borders at home before it ships.

Hi,

We purchased the Gallery CD on our September visit (from the Photo Shop in Main Street) - I just wanted to add that the Photopass promotional code included in the Gallery CD also removed our international shipping charge (normally $14.95) so we have got our Photopass CD shipped to Australia for free.

When I purchased the Photo Gallery CD at the photo shop the Cast Member was insisting that whilst we could use the voucher to get our Photopass CD for free we would have to pay international shipping and that would be very expensive etc. I just thought I'd let any international visitors know that this is not the case.

Cheers

Do any of you know if the offer for the purchase of the Gallery CD with a coupon for a FREE PhotoPass CD is still available ?

And if so, is it an "online" offer or in the parks ?

Thanks..........we'll be going next week and plan on doing Photopass.

I bought this IN the parks during our trip in October.

I bought it at the Photo Store on Main Street in DL. I just asked the CM and he got it for me, he also showed me the pictures that were on my PhotoPass card, and gave me some great tips on what to ask the photographers when we were posing (like to make sure you can see The Partners statue AND the castle, and nothing cut off, etc.)

Here is what it looks like:

One of the best deals in the park I think, I didn't get a lot of shots with my DH and I together, and this way I did. Love all the extra shots for Scrapbooking too.

Was this for $59.99? I guess I would get the best deal by waiting and buying at the park. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks so much for all the replies.

So is the point of the disc to get your photos put on it before you leave Disneyland? I thought you had to access a website to get your photos.

Thanks for the picture krispin41. I'd love to hear about what other tips you received for when posing for your photopass photos.

You can do either. However if you want to edit the pictures which includes adding the borders you have to do that through the website later.

The point of buying the Gallery Disc in the park is it has the voucher to order your Photopass CD from home, giving you a chance to edit.

Wow ! Great news ! ! Sure hope they still have it available next week.
Thanks for the tip.

He just gave us the tips I mentioned. Also, we were there at Halloween time, and he said the photographer that took our pic in front of the Mickey pumpkin should have centered it better. I actually like that we are off a bit, because you can see Mickey's face.

I spent an entire evening adding borders to our pics when I got home. It was fun! When you get your CD back, there is a version without the border and a version with the border 9or whatever you added) depending on how you want to have your pics printed.

I hope this link works:

Thanks for posting this. I am heading to DL in January and wondered how much shipping to New Zealand for the disk was going to set me back, hope we get free shipping with the gallary disk too, thanks!

One of the prior posters said international shipping to Australia was $14.95 so that's not a bad deal. If you have an annual pass (or know someone who does plan to pay cash), you can get 10-20% off the price with the AP discount (buying in store).
