I'm reading through all the Photopass small print and I want to make sure I've got it right. So do you have 30 days to claim/upload your photos (and is this from the date of the first photopass picture being taken?) and then another 30 days from when you've uploaded them to place your order for a total of 60days, or is it 30 days total to upload and order from when you started getting your Photopass pictures taken?

Thanks!!

When I did it, it was 30 days from when I first accessed the photos (when I returned home; I managed to resist the urge to look at them while still in WDW). Looking at the current policy:

Guests must claim photos within 30 days from when the photos were taken. To view the expiration date of a photo in your album, click to enlarge the photo. Beneath the enlarged photo, the expiration date will appear. Once photos are claimed and associated to a DisneyPhotoPass.com account, they will be available for viewing, sharing and purchasing for 30 days from the date they were claimed, after which the photos will no longer be available.

For a little extra you can get an extension - $5 for +7 days and $10 for +15 days.

So - you have 30 days from when the photo is TAKEN to link (or claim) it to your account online. Then once that is done it starts the 30 day ticker to place your order. So you COULD push a full 60 days out if you don't access your photopass card number at all for 30 days. Which means not seeing them, so not sure if that's a help to do. (Unless you have a lot to upload perhaps and need the extra time.)

Oh, and quick tip for anyone who hasn't seen it: Take a picture with your phone of the card when you get it and email it to yourself. You don't have to worry if you lose the card then (or even your phone!) because you've got a backup in your email. This saved my photos on this last trip when I misplaced a card in my luggage. :D

I was able to "claim" my photos even after the 30 mark, almost 6 weeks after our trip. Good thing too, because I forgot about only having 30 days!

Thanks! You're right, I absolutely won't/can't wait a long time to see the photos :flower3: but it was more hypothetically how long do I really have. Just wanted to make sure I understood the rules. Awesome!

:woohoo:
