What is the cost of the Photopass CD ( photoCD) ? I have read people buying it for $59.95 & Mousesavers.com also mentions " You can purchase all of your Disneyland PhotoPass photos on one CD for $59.95". Not sure where I can buy it for that price coz disneyphotopass.com sells it for $149.95 !!!!!

Do you prefer to buy the CD at a store in the park or online at disneyphotopass.com ?

I read some recent posts about buying the Gallery CD ( stock photos ) and getting either a discount code for the Disney PhotoCD ( the one with your photopass pics ) ? Is that deal still on ?

We bought the CD last week, its is $59.95. You purchase it in Disneyland at the photo store at the end of main street. We made it our last stop on our way out of the park on our last day. Took about 10minutes to get it. We ahd 71 photos so definitely worth it for us.

And was there a coupon code inside for a free PhotoPass CD online?

That's for Disney World CD, a Disneyland ONLY photo pass CD is $59.95 - which makes the deal you're talking about a great deal. Essentially a free stock photo CD.
I'm trying to find the link to thread you're talking about my understanding is the stock photo CD in the Disney photo store includes a coupon for a free photo pass CD. So you buy this in the park for $59.95 and get the photo pass CD online after your trip for free.

Ok now it makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.I would rather buy it at the park than online !! They should have the 2 seperate options on their site !
I hope they still have the deal at the Parks- it is a GREAT deal !!

When you go to Disneyland and get your Photo Pass card it will have a code on the back. When you enter that code into your Photo Pass account, it will recognize that it is DLR and not WDW. The price for the CD will be $59.95. If you combine WDW and DLR Photo Pass cards into one account, you will mess this up. LOL

I got the Photopass card in the mail with my Package. I registered it online and checked the price - $ 149 and change. Should I just get another one at the Park and toss this one ?

We could be talking about 2 different things I suppose. What I'm referring to was a thread a few months back in which buying a stock photo CD (all the Disneyland Photos) from the photo store included a coupon for a free photo pass CD (the one with your own Disney photog taken photos).

So did you buy the stock photo CD? Maybe I misunderstood what CD you bought, but that's what I was talking about.

It could have been a promotion that is over....???

Can I start using the Photopass card at the Park w/out registering it ? I was under the impression I HAVE To register it online for it to be valid and usable .

I don't believe that's true - you just need to start handing it to Photo Pass photographers. Then online, once registered, you'll see your photos :)

It sounds like it's coded for WDW. When you go to DLR get a new card. It will be coded for DLR.

I do not know about the promotion / coupon the other posters on this thread are discussing. If that is still being offered, that's a GREAT deal.

Thank you !! I am so glad I am a DIS boards member & checked here :)

Imagine paying $ 149 for the CD that costs $59 :sad2:

It probably still shows $149 since there are no photos yet, I'd speculate that once you have Disneyland photos, and Disneyland only photos you'll see the correct price when you're ready to buy.

But getting another photopass card is no big deal, we end up with 3 or 4 each trip it seems because we either leave one in the room or if we split up for any period of time and find separate photo ops!

Oh ok...we bought the photopass CD with all the photos that were taken os US at the parks NOT the one with the stock photos.

we never registered anything..on our first day in the park when we went to have out first photo taken is when we got the photopass card, they just hand them out. Then you just give that to each photographer and they scan it and give it back..then all your photos are linked to that number..give it to the CM at the store and they make up the CD for you.

A good hint we got was to take a picture of the actual card so if you accidentally lost it you would know the number to get your pics.

This is NOT the route I would recommend for your photos though.

Once you get home you go to photopass.com and register (or login) and then enter the code on the photopass card. You can enter multiple cards. You can then modify the pictures by adding borders and logos and signatures!

For our WDW we started with about 180 pictures and on my CD's I have 700 after all the modifications.

If you want the pics right away you can purchase in the parks but you don't get to have the borders and everything else added to them.

just my 2cents.

One comment on the above.

jennym68 is correct about not needing to pre-register. Go on your trip, get a PP card from the first photographer that takes your picture. For future pictures, hand over your same card. They add your new photos to it. (Or get a new card and keep track of all of them. eek! LOL)

Here's where I would offer different advice than above. You can go to the shop on Main Street and get your CD right there on your last day. OR...

Go home. Enter your code(s) from the back of your PhotoPass (PP) card (s) into your PP account. Then, for every single picture you had taken, you can make edits, adjustments, and enhancements. You can add cool Disney borders. Add graphics. Crop them. Zoom in. Give special effects. Play with them in so many ways you will be amazing. We had about 50 PP pictures from our WDW trip. I turned them into over 300 photos with fun edits and such on the PP web site. in my opinion, a HUGE part of the PP program. You can do some fun stuff with your pictures!

Since being home i have registered my photopass number and can still add the borders etc to those photos, i guess the only difference is i don't have them on the CD.
